Re: HP 845C Printing problems
Try pressing the feed button and hold for a couple of seconds. Make sure that you have enough paper in the machine. Try this if the printer does not take the paper clean the feed rollers and try this again as I think that all this seems to be is a paper feed problem.

Try cleaning the print head first in the software options on the printer and then lightly with a qtip and alcohol or electronics cleaner. The ink jets sometimes dry up and cause the nozzels to get plugged.
When the orange light is flashing, either paper jam or ink problem is happening.Try unloaging & reloading the stack of paper in the main tray. Remove & reinsert ink cartridges in the printer. You may also clean the contacts of the cartridge and inside the product.
I found this post to work for me when yellow was not printing on my HP PSC750 after using 2 cartridges: "Well if you want to damage your printer use alcohol. But if you want to
make it work then pull the cartridge from the printer and run hot water
on a couple of paper towels leaving alot of hot water in the towels.
Put some thing under them to keep them from staining your counter top
and then set the cartridge down onto the hotwater towel and let the hot
water melt away the dry ink and in minutes you may be printing again if
this is what it is. Be sure and use a dry paper towel to wipe off the
ecess wet before you reinstall the cartridge."
