I understand you want to know how to clean the fabric softener dispenser from your Frigidaire washer, model# ATF7000ES. To remove the drawer and clean the dispenser, please do the following:
• Remove the drawer by pulling it out until it stops.
• Reach back into the left rear corner of the drawer cavity and press down firmly on the lock tab (left rear portion of the drawer). Pull out the drawer.
• Remove the insert from the bleach and fabric softener compartments.
• Rinse the drawer and inserts with hot tap water to remove traces of accumulated powders and liquids. Large amounts of fabric softener residue may indicate improper dilution or more frequent cleaning is required.
• To clean the drawer opening, use a small brush to clean the recess. Remove all residues from the upper and lower parts of the recess.
• Replace the insert pressing the "X" to lock it in place. Return the dispenser drawer.
I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.
I understand that you are having trouble with the softener dispenser not dispensing on your Electrolux washer. I suggest running a System-clean cycle on your washer, as well as taking out the dispenser drawer and taking the dispenser compartments out and cleaning them. It might be that the softener has built up inside the dispenser drawer. If that does not work, reset your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your home's circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. If you are still noticing the softener not dispensing, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. Hope this is helpful.
Please remove power of the unit and this will reset the unit. Now select a program that is different from the earlier one and see if this works. Also check once again on the filter and check the dispenser drawer to be in place. Set the water level once again.Hope this helps.
I have the exact same problem. Ive taken the hoses beneath the drum apart in case it is backed up all the way to the dispenser. Found a bra wire and removed it. Ran another cycle - still the same problem with water in the dispenser - even running down the outside front face of the washer. Not sure what to do next?!?!?!
Remove the dispenser drawer by pushing down on the tab at the center back and pulling drawer out. Now, remove the top of the fabric softener compartment and the parts of the soap dispenser and clean them all out. An old toothbrush often helps. Reassemble and replace. They should siphon out now.
Remove any parts that you can in the drawer itself ,and thoroughly clean all pieces., and poke wire through syphon tube, to make sure it is clear.
In the drawer compartment get a stiff nylon brush and clean all the inside out as best you can, particularly the top of the compartment.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
You can pour the bleach in the drawer every time you do white loads and it will stay clear too! Just flush it out good before you do colored clothes or you may get a small bleach spot on a red shirt ! Neil Ps. Give me a problem solved rating here on fixya.com
remove despenser drawer, by pressing down plastic tab and pulling drawer towards you, use hot water and old toothbrush to clean all compartments, the softer compartment can come apart to clean, use knife or flat screwdriver to take apart .good luck eire.
I had the same problem with my Bosch Classixx 1200 Express.
It was fixed today & I now know what to do in the future if it happens. The water gets into the soap/ conditioner dispenser drawer via 2 pipes. One points to the main detergent compartment and the other to the pre-wash and conditioner compartments. The pipes become clogged with a type of mould. This meant that in my machine the water was bypassing the conditioner. I had already removed the drawer and cleaned it up and cleaned the jets above with an old tootbrush but it hadn't solved the problem. The repair guy used a cable tie (one of those that is quite firm & will lock) and pushed it up inside the bigger jets. This loosened the black gunge. Then ran water thru from start of the basic cycles and all is now OK
