Controller will start up the 360, then just flashes. Wont respond
We had a brief power surge while I was playing. It shut off. The 360 works fine. However, the controller won't. I can turn on the 360 by the controller, but once the system is on, the controller's 4 lights just flash, and it won't respond. When I go to sync it, the lights go flashing around on the 360 and the controller like normal, but when it "connects", there is no 1/4 of a green ring around the 360 power button, and the controller just keeps flashing. Help, please.

This may mean that your console is suffering from a power problem here . If your console not receiving enough power it will turn off whatever is wireless to conserve the power to keep the console on. Make sure you are not plugged into any surge protectors or and any extension cords. If the controller is only flashing twice and not connecting to your console If you are playing on your Xbox 360 you can turn the console off by holding the power button for about 10 seconds and once it is turned off you can unplug the Xbox 360 for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in and power it on.It could just be a bad controller then or the controller needs to have the battery pack in it be replaced.Or it is a broken controller.

You have to connect the controller like this: Somewhere on the XBox 360 controller there is a button that looks like this, o))) or something like that. Push that button and look at the XBox 360 round lights, they start to flash, that means you have to push the same button on the console. The o))) button should be infront of the console.

Push the little round button. There should be a similar button on your controller. Push that too. They should recognize each other.
you may want to try synchronizing the controller one more, next to the controller slot there is a small button, and on the controller you should see another one just between the LB and RB, press the one on the controlkler first and then th one on the xbox
I dont know if you have been able to figure out what the proble was with your 360, but the exact SAME thing happened to me. The 360 seems to be working fine, game loads, and both the consoles and the controllers rings lit up green, but then the controllers ring just keeps flashing and the console won't recognize it. I 've tried other controllers and nothing worked and obviously I tried to synch it with the console time and time again. PLEASE HELP!!!
You must sync the 360 with your controller. Turn on your 360 and your controller. Push the little black button on the front of your console, then hold the little tiny button on the top of your controller for a few seconds. This should sync them.
