How do i do a factory reset on my samsung hp-s4253 tv

did you ever find a solution? Mine is doing the same as of yesterday

checked your digital video board

check for "puffy" capacitors in the power supply 1000uf.

This could be due to the connection used. Try using new higher quality cabling to connect your tv.

I had this same problem and one of my component cables was slightly unseated. Slight push back in and got all my wonderful blues back!! Thanks tvtek for this suggestion!

The Main bd has possibly failed along with P-Logic bd. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

Main system control memory IC fault. This is a very small IC; have 8 solder terminals, and can be located very near to the main system control-chroma IC. Check and replace it. Be sure to replace it with the same number printed on it; in all respect. There are two methods to reset TVs. The first is simple to do; a Hard Reset. The other is somewhat skilled; is a Factory Reset (System Reset). To make it a hard reset, just unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If you do this by overnight is better. This procedure will make it a hard reset. I had the same problem with my S4253 using Directv. I then turned off the Dolby Digital on the sound settings on the Directv satellite box. Problem went away.

I have the same problem -- had a Best Buy technician out 4 times so far, replaced 2 parts, adjusted the voltage, etc., but still have the same problem -- looks like there may be no solution other than replacing the TV, which is an expensive proposition considering that mine is about 18 months old.

You would need to have a technician remove the back of the TV and make the adjustment. There are 2 small adjusters that they change to adjust the voltage.
