That model has an additional ASTC DTV tuner. Plug into the HDTV co-ax input from the DTV antenna.

How do I get channel with my Dynex televison?

Yes all over the air channels are now digital. Make sure that your TV is on the correct source. You can get a decent converter box at Walmart for around 20 to 50 dollars

Sony Wega TV --24F... does it need a converter?

No. all flat screens have converter chip built in.
If you are having problems getting channels, make sure you go to the settings, and broadcast settings, and make sure it is on AIR for regular tv, or CATV for cable.

How to install a converter box on the tv

First Converter boxes are a poor economic investment.
Second you have an HDTV. It does not need a Converter box.
Just connect an amplified antenna.

Specs:

Built-in ATSC QAM Tuners - QAM and ATSC tuners included to enable the set to receive Digital cable-in-the-clear signals, as well as digital terrestrial broadcasts. HDTV reception is possible by adding an Optional HDTV antenna

Not sure if converter box is needed???

Hello Ann, I will try to help you, well if your for sure about the Manufactur date on the T.V., then yes you will need a digital converter box, also it is suggested to have an outdoor UHF/VHF antenna with coax to attach to your converter box, the old rabbit ears aren't suggested. I hope this helps in getting you prepared for Feb. 19, 2009 when all T.V. stations broadcasting will convert to the new signal. Thank You and Have great day.

Dvdrecorder and convertor box

If the clarification request is correct. The only thing i can suggest is. Plug aerial into converter box. plug converter box into TV using either scart or coaxial cable. then connect converter box to dvd recorder using scart or coaxial cable depending on what you used to plug converter box into TV with. Then plug dvd recorder into TV. I don't know if you have to set-up the converter box to start receiving i'm not sure. But try this anyway.
You'd probably have been better off getting a free-view box and your dvd recorder. Because as long as you've got a free-view box you'll always get digital. Hope this helps

Hdtv converter box to vcr

Hi Drtrippy,

If I understand correctly, you are using your VCR for the actual tuning of the TV.

The converter box itself contains a tuner, so you should now receive extra channels available only to an HD tuner. You should try connecting your antenna as input to the converter box. Then output the signal from your converter box to the VCR. Your VCR may then remain connected to your projector.

You may simply think of this as if you are inserting the converter box between your antenna and your VCR, which should be currently connected to receive an over-the-air signal. Remember, as the tuner you will be using is in the converter box, you will need to change channels using the converter box, not the VCR.

Thank you,
Jason,
