Try another outlet. If problem persists then try another power cord if you have one or you might need to replace it.

Red power light on our 3-year-old Actiontec router
If the power light is red, it means that the router is already defective.

You can still try to reset the router by pressing the reset button for 10 seconds then power cycle it.

If the power light is still red then you will really need to replace your router.

If the power light is red this is a system error.

Try to reset the router by holding and pressing the reset button for 10 seconds. Then power cycle the router.

If the power light is still red. It is possible that the router is already defective.

Have billion bipac 5200n installed on pc aiso servicing 2 wireless laptops . intalled a wireless - g usb adapter (netgear )on 2nd pc now laptops cant access net , saying invalid password any help...
dear sir good day please do reset the device from the sided reset button and the put in the settings for it and make Mac address filter from the wireless management tab and put a pass work on the sec tab so no one can get into your device and use it or bypass the settings ... thank you

Power light red ,internet light red no other
Most of the time a red internet light means that the box can't find the internet / can't find it ISP / can't get on the DSL what ever.
Might be the modem, might be the power adapter.

Solid red power light
pls check the power supply this happens when the router's supply is faulty or the power outlet in WALL ,

otherwise try this see for RESET button on the back of Router press it for 30 SEC when ur router is ON and it will resolve for sure let me know if it doesnt solve i can help more

Cannot access belkin 54g wireless modem settings
Try geting a routher that featres wirless and eathernet so you do not have to have two boxes. You will have to know its ip adress enter it internet explore and then you will be able to protect it through there.

Bridging 2 different types of router
Yes, you can bridge two different brands of routers. It is not the router but the protocol that the router uses that makes it incompatible. But because of the way you are set up you will not have any problems with different brands. Both will use DHCP to get your IP address..
