Can't Transfer images!

My Canon Powershot A150 Won't transfer images from the camera to Canon Zoombrowser EX.  I've had both the camera and the program for a few years now and this just started happening no too long ago.  The computer recognizes the camera, and allows me to get as far as the menu where you are supposed to be able to transfer, i push the button to begin the transfer, it says it's transferring, but even three hours later not one percent of the image has been transferred.

When I try to download most recent pictures I am forced to download all that are on camera

It depends on what software you are using to transfer photos from the camera to your computer.
If you install and use the "Camera Window" transfer software Canon included with the camera, you will see you have three modes to choose from, including the option to transfer just the photos on your camera that have not yet been transferred.

Connect the camera with a USB cable to your computer.
Power up the camera.
The computer will detect the camera, and open a dialog box offering you a choice of programs on your computer that can handle photo transfers.

If you choose the Camera Window software, it will open and present a menu with three choices of action. The first option is, "Import images from Camera." Select this.

Another submenu opens presenting these three options:

1. Import Untransferred images. (this is what you said you want)
2. Select images to Import. (manually select just certain ones)
3. Import All images (automatically transfers every image on the card)

Camera Window is just one of many available image transfer applications you could use. They all do essentially the same three things outlined above, including "Import Untransferred images."

Canon included a couple other utility programs on the CD that came with your Powershot A490 camera. One of them, "Zoom Broswer EX" enables you to reload photos from your computer, back on to your camera's image card, if you want to do that.

How to put pictures from a computer onto poweshot a480 camera?

First of all, if you've edited the pictures in any way (opening a picture in a photo editing program and then saving it without making any changes counts as editing) then the camera most likely won't be able to display the images.

You can transfer files (not just pictures) to the memory card using a card reader. Plug the card into the reader and it will appear to your computer as another hard drive. Simply drag-n-drop files to it the same way you copy other files on your computer.

It doesnt transfer images to computer.but images are in sdcard

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use ZoomBrowser or any other photo cataloging program.

I am transferring images to my computer, which I have done before. Now I am getting the message "Save folder not found?" Have I moved it? Do I need to create it? How? Where? Please help....

My solution is to unistall your current canon software that holds 15 canon components in your computer. You will find them under system task and select remove programs. After you have uninstalled the program, reinstall your "Canon Digital Camera Disk" and follow their prompts. Now you should be able to transfer images again as per normal.
I have answered this question in detail under another question postered by "whitecar631" under canon "save folder not found" canon sd1100.
This worked for me, but I don"t know how to prevent it happening again. I do know the day I lost all "my pictures", I had previously deleted a large file in my documents. I also experienced "save folder not found" when I tried to transfer images from my canon ixus 100.
I was lucky enough that I had all of my original SD Flash Media Cards, so could transfer all my photos again. I have since put all my photos into labelled folders instead of dates and images.
Hope this helps, it appears to be a problem in the canon program. Joyce

I downloaded all images to my computer on my sd card. The pictures show up in my "my pictures" folder on my computer, but not in the canon zoombrowser ex program. It will not let me view any...

You can just copy and paste the pics into zoombrowser. Or in the menu at the top of the zoombrowser page under "file" click on open and then select your pics from the choices given.

I have a canon pc1019 digital camera, and how i connect it with pc?

thats also known as a powershot a40 - heres the support site for that camera http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&fcategoryid=221&modelid=8288 if you goto the drivers and download tab - here you will find a manual - for zoom browser and the camera You should be able to connect the camera to your computer with a supplied USB cable - and then the zoombrowser software should detect your camera connected and offer to transfer images In the manual on Page 126/128 explains how to connect camera to PC Also explains in the manual how to transfer the images. If your PC has a memory card reader you can transfer that way - also explained in the manual

Canon zoombrowser Ex downloading problem

Try updating the Zoombrowser software.

If you have a connection to the camera, go into my computer and get images directly off the camera using scanner and camera wizard, microsoft's default program. This will at least allow you to transfer your images until you can resolve the software problem.

If you have no connection to the camera via your computer, you need to try some other troubleshooting steps to get a connection. I will post those below in the next post.
