It appears that you may have a green drive issue. Try adjusting the Sreen Control it is located in the front of TV.
1) Remove Speaker Grill (it just pulls off) start at one end, 2) Remove cover (5-6 screws), 3) Adjust control. The control is located on lower right side towards bottom. A small black device with 2 rolls of controls, adjust the center control on bottom row counter clock wise, until you get a black and white picture.(adjust with color control to min).
If this does not work you light bulb (CRT) is bad about a $750.00 repair.
you will need to replace the Green CRT your model uses the sony # 873365201 CRT. The other site I work for just got a shipment of Sony and RCA CRTs(Tubes) in on friday. So you can get one at the following link these are brand new Tubes and they provide free shipping and free on line tech support with instant messageing in case you need help installing it. Yes you have bad green and red crt but with an adjustment you can still use it. remove the front panel and you'll see the focus pack (it;s a black piece with 6 rotating knobs on it. Adjust clock otherwise the red and green screen (the bottom line knobs) till the lines has gone. The better way to check it is to adujt in video input with no signal, just black screen.
start with convergence ic's probably stk 392-130 big black chip's on an alluminum heat sink.
mark ALL connections with majic marker.
check for bad solder connections.
