A few days ago, the screen of my Nokia 6288 stopped working properly. The screen became really pixelated and it was all blurred. Sometimes the screen just goes black.
From what I can tell, the phone still works perfectly well.. it's just the screen that won't work.
I've only had it about 10 months and haven't dropped it or anything.
I was just wondering if there was anything I can do to make the screen work properly.. Thanks!

Ok, here's what I did. I followed this video on Youtube (it says 6280, it works exactly the same with 6288)to disassemble my 6288 (same problem, backlight on the display wouldn't work most of the time) and I finally found there was some leeway on the metal housing that keeps the display in place (so you only need to take out the display over to sort this out). I solved it by putting some bent paper on top of the lower left corner of the metal housing and putting the front cover back in place. Now it gives me no problem at all. I hope this will help you too. And, to all of those talking about bringing it to the repairman... come on, 6288 disassembly is quite simple (you don't even need the Torx screwdrivers but to get the main board out). Don't make it something more difficult that it is.
1, clean the usb cable connections, both out and inside the phone
2. try to replace the usb cable to dku-2 or ca-53
3. make sure u have the latest firmware (6.43) by pressing *#0000# at the main screen.
if u don't i strongly advice to update it from nokia website.
but before u do make sure to clean the usb cable connector
