Creative Zen MP3 won't charge with mains adaptor

Creative Zen Microphoto has stopped charging with the Creative mains adaptor but will still charge from a USB port. The charging symbol flashes but it doesn't charge. The battery has been changed and the charger works okay on another Zen MP3 player. PS I have bought a non-Creative USB mains adaptor but it won't work with Creative players????

Don't worry that doesn't mean that your mp3 player is faulty, if there is any fault it is from the charger but since the usb charges it well, just continue to use it. It doesn't mean the player is faulty, IT HAPPENS.

Hi My player is Creative ZEN MOZAIC EZ 100 - 4GB It is not able to recharge and when connects to PC there appears scaning Disk... and nothing else happends long time.

I've had similar issues with the Zen Microphoto, usually the case is a defective cable. Even though the PC sees the device that does not mean that the cable is connecting properly. Try using a different mini USB 2.0 cable. That fixed all of my issues with my Zen Microphoto's connection and inability to charge.

Creative zen microphoto crashed and havent used it in a bit but i got it charged last night and i have a new computer now i connected it and it showing up but i have to reload the firm wear but when i go...

I had the same problem with my creative micro. Do you still have the CD-ROM that came with the mp3? If so just download the creative software from the disc then restart you computer, you computer should see it after that. It worked for me... I even used the wrong disc, I've had both Micro and Micro Photo mp3s, and i still had the CD-ROM for the microphoto.
How did you get your Microphoto to charge after it crashed? I cant seem to figure this one out. I even have a new battery for it, but it wont turn on at all.

I have bought a new netbook and tried to put music onto my Creative Zen microphoto, but it says that no device has been detected. Even though it charges so I know the USB and cables are OK. I had this...

Unplug the device from the system, turn it off entirely, allow for some 10min and power it again before you plug to your netbook. Or you could plug to the netbook first before powering the device if the first idea did not solve the problem.Lastly, turn off or restart your netbook while the device remain plugged in.You may be prompted to insert the installation disc if your Creative Zen Microphoto device is not a "plug and play" depending on which windows platform you are operating.Goodluck!

Zen Microphoto frozen..

Solution ID # 4794 from creative site ZEN Micro and ZEN MicroPhoto 1. Make sure that the battery is charged. 2. Detach the ZEN Micro or MicroPhoto from the PC, and ensure that it is turned off. 3. Remove the battery. 4. Move and hold the Power button to the Power On position and re-insert the battery to the ZEN Micro or MicroPhoto. Hold the Power button until the Recovery Mode appears. The following options will be displayed: -Clean Up : Scans the player and removes invalid links from its music library.Does not affect music files themselves. -Format (All):Caution! Erases all content!Save a copy of your player's content before formatting. -Reload OS/ Firmware : Caution! Erases your player's firmware. DO NOT select the Reload Firmware option unless you have access to a PC and you have downloaded the necessary firmware to install. Reboot Reboots the device.
