Check the system BIOS. I know that in certain HP systems you can disable the power button so that it doesnt do anything. It's to stop the system being accidently shut down

HP ProLiant ML110 G7 windows server 2008

...Is a second BIOS chip on the system board where a second copy of the BIOS and system configuration reside. If one of these fails (rare) then the second one is there so you can still boot and initiate a stable recovery.

My server is keeping booting and can't log in to windows

Hello,

You issue could be both hardware and software related. The Blue Screen of Death is one that I don't like to see but can be easy to solve at times. First, I would recommend you recheck and hardware that was newly installed; memory cards, cables, etc. Verify they are connected or inserted correctly. Next, if this is a new install of Windows 2008, verify that your server meets the hardware captiablity for S2008. (Remember, this is a 64-bit os and you will need drivers if your server is 32-bit based.) You can find this out by inserting the Windows Server 2008 boot disc and run the Check System for Compatiablity function from the menu.
If you are certain that you have no hardware issues and the install was performed correctly, you may need to reinstall Server '08 and monitor the install for any exceptions that may occur.

Good Luck,

I have installed windows 2008 server on HP ML 350 G3 and has refused to see the network

Hello, This could be many thing that causes this. 1. I would check the network properties to make sure the network ports are configured correclty. 2. Make sure the network services are turned on. 3. Make sure you have install the latest service pack for server 08 and your network drivers. Once done, reboot.

Is HP ML 110 server compatible with 64-bit Windows 2008 R2 server?

Hi there,
Yes it should be.. Well the main important part is that you have a 64Bit processor installed on it.
So just make sure your processor is 64Bit then it will run 2008

Hi,

ProLiant ML 110 server series does not supports windows XP. It Support only the below OS.

  1. Windows 2000
  2. Windows 2003
  3. NetWare 5.1
  4. NetWare 6.0
  5. NetWare 6.5
  6. RHEL 2.1 (32 Bit)
  7. RHEL 4 (32 Bit)
  8. RHL 9
  9. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 8
If you want to force this hardware to support windows XP, then download windows 2003 drivers which is equivalent to XP; but not the same as XP.

Hi, I m really sorry to say that but you have a Server Product and its built to run Windows Server Series on it (or Linux / Novell Netware).
This is the list of compatible Server list
Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Microsoft Windows Server 2003 for 64-bit Extended Systems Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Essential Business Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Foundation Edition Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Small Business Microsoft Windows Server 2008 W32 Microsoft Windows Server 2008 x64 Novell NetWare 6.5 Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (AMD64/EM64T) Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (x86) Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Server (x86) Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 Server (x86-64) SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (AMD64/EM64T) SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 (x86) SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 (AMD64/EM64T) SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 (x86)
Here is the link for Drivers
Try to use the Driver for Windows 2003.
It has a Matrox VGA as I know. If you know which Matrox series you have, then Browse here for the Drives: Matrox Graphics Support. Make sure that you choose the Exact Driver software which suites the System.
Note: Not every product has the Driver Software for Windows XP.

Dear Jaiveer

There are a lot of softwares which can help you to get the server details, both hardware and software as well.
Like BelarcAdvisor and SystemInfo (System Information for Windows). You can download SystemIfon from the link : http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html
