SOURCE: what's the difference between Easybase (non

Hi,

The Easy Fix Base is used for cars which have isofix points in their car. The Easy Base fits into your car using the seatbelt.
Both of these bases can be used ONLY for the CabrioFix Carseat and cannot be used for the next stage seat (Group 1).

I hope this helps.

Why doesn't the Luna HAVE ISOFIX

Luna or Nuna (child safety seats)?

In the USA, the terms LATCH and ISOFIX are interchangeable. Both refer to the lower anchors.

Duoplus isofix britax car seat ,,can't get the green buckle to release the extension bars it seems to be jammed

You should get someone qualified to look at your seat if there's a problem with it. If you decide to fix a problem on your Britax car seat and end up damaging it, that will be a bigger problem. Remember that is your child's safety which might be at risk.

Can you retro install Isofix in a 09 reg x type jaguar estate

Not in the United States. But if you have a seating position in the car, you may use the seat belt to install the seat. There is no safety difference between using the seat belt or ISOFIX/LATCH.
Note: Not all child seats fit in all cars!

Peugeot 307 estate wagon

In the outer rear seats, you may use either the ISOFIX attachments or the seat belt. In the center rear seating position, you may only use the seat belt.

Carefully read the instructions for your child seat and the vehicle manual. They will give you directions to install your child seat properly.

Where are the anchor points for a baby seat in a 89 Pajero?

If you are asking about the lower anchors (known as ISOFIX or LATCH), they were not available in 1989. In the USA, they became mandatory in September of 2002.
The child seat would be installed using the seat belt. Read the manual (vehicle and child seat), then contact a local certified child seat technician.

Please help. I have been handed down a britax ASIs car seat which has isofix. Problem is my car does not have isofix. Can I still use it? And do I need to take isofix off? Thanks

Usually the ISOFIX is simply an easier way to tether the seat to the car. Some believe it is safer than tradional tether methods.
You can simply use you car's seatbelts to hold the car seat in. The car seat has 2 large holes behind the childs lower back and that is where your car seat belts slide thru and then click into their connections.

RACV in partnership with VicRoads has set up a network of Restraint Fitting Stationsthroughout Victoria to help with installation of child restraints. For a small charge, a trained installer can fit your restraint or check it to ensure it is installed correctly.

We have a Britax Isofix car seat and the red clip mechanism has gone and the isofix bar is slightly bent making it difficult to remove and put back into the car. Is this fixable or do we need to buy a new...

Yes but it is a question of ethics and expence/expense! There are belts and hasps/clips/ manufacturers but they may not sell to the public considering the liability of unauthourised fitting. I would go to a recycler or junk place, buy from web auction or newspaper, and get another used seat or the parts from another model and adapt them to suit. Get it checked out by a reputable dealer also. I think it is illegal to tamper with them anyway. Local bylaws or stautess would apply depending where you are.. Remember the safety and life of your child is involved...

Where are the fittings or anchor points for childseat restraint ... 1993 Mazda 323 · I can't find a child restraint anchor point. ...

Hi,

It may be that you do not have these anchorage points ( I beleive that you mean the Isofix Points???) If you sit in the seat itself and place your fingers inbetween the cushion that you are sitting on and the back cushion (either side of your hips) You should then feel a metal horizontal bar, about an inch long,
On some models (usually BMW) these Isofix Points are located behind black plastic caps at the bottom of the seats.
I hope this helps
