Water keeps coming back into dishwasher after cycle is done
The dishwasher drains but after it is done, somehow water starts seeping back up into the bottom of the dishwasher. i run the drain cycle again to clear it but after 30 minutes or so there's about an inch of water again. i turned off the water to the dishwasher but it still happens. ???? Adjusting the hose did not work. The model is Kenmore Ultra Wash Quiet Guard #16529000. The only way I can stop it or slow it down is if I turn the dial to the drain cycle and leave it there. The original problem is that the water seeps back into the dishwasher once the cycle is complete.

Hi,
U-i is a user fault which means somehow the either the water was turned off, the drawer while filling was draining at the same time, water did not enter the drawer within 3 minutes of start, or you had excessive foaming.
Is the water to the drawer on?
Was there suds in the drawer?
Hit the power button far left on the control, open and close drawer. Run a rinse only cycle and see if it fills like normal, if not get back to me and I can walk you thought a test through the control to check it.
Good Luck

Hi, If you are getting water in the tub when the washer is off, you will need a new inlet mixer valve. You can test this by tirning the water off at the wall and see if any water seeps in. If you would get me a model #, Icould look this up for you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.
Hi, If the drain hose is attached under the sink, make sure that the drain hose is looped higher then the outlet it is attached to. Most model will hold a small amount of water after draining to keep the seals moist. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Check to make sure that the drain hose loops as high as possible before coming back down to the disposer or branch tailpiece drain. If the drain hose just goes straight up to the drain connection, dirty water can seep back into the dishwasher.
your dirty water backed up into the washer (which it shouldn't do) and probably clogged something in there,..i would recommend getting it flushed out somehow, not sure how,.....next time, your washer drain hose should go up under the sink as high as possible and then back down to drain,....this settup makes it hard for drain water to go back into washer,....it's instructed in any dishwasher manual
