Check the cold water hose. My brand new machine had this behavior until I discovered a kink in the cold water hose - works great now.

Our GE Model GFWN1100L2WW was doing exactly this. First it was on the white cycle, then the permanent press stopped working also. Washer is 15 months old. We finally found out there have been over 30,000 complaints on this model for the exact same thing. Call G.E. consumer affairs 800-386-1215.

GE washer, model WBVH6240FWW. runs a cycle until the rinse cycle then pauses. I've done alot of cleaning of various parts, but still have th the ie problem. currently have the pump out to see if there...

Don't take the impeller off if no clog there then check all hoses and filter. If not, there's a code you can check for by using the servicers book that should be located under the top. Remove the rear screws and slide the top back to remove and enter the top of the unit.

WBVH6240FWW GE FRONT LOAD control counts dow to 9 mins then jumps back to 11 mins in rinse and drain. I replaced the control. What else could cause this problem

Too much soap generally causes it to change time. Soap causes motor overload. The control detect over amping and declares a suds error. All machines have this built in though many do not display the error. Items between baskets can also trigger this.

My ge front loader washer model number wbvh6240fww wont't rinse and makes a humming sound during the rinse cycle

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

I'm hazarding a guess- the sound MIGHT BE from the machine attempting to drain the water but cannot, therefore not going on to the rinse cycle. Just in case this is the problem follow my general (pre-typed!) guidance notes on filters and motors ;-0)
------------------------------------------------
Sorry but I do not know your particular machine BUT I would suggest as a first step that you clean the drain motor lint tray/filter. So many 'faults' are caused by blocked filters. The motor is unable to drain all of the water in the allotted time.
If you are unsure where the filter is, it is often behind the front lower (kick) panel (or in some machines at the rear in an awkward position!) and held in by a round cover/knob.

REMOVE POWER AND ENSURE YOU HAVE A WATER RECEPTACLE/RAGS TO SOAK UP THE WATER WHICH IS BOUND TO POUR OUT!

It's surprising what people have found in theirs! It is always worthwhile checking it on a regular basis.
Now- whilst the filter is removed it is normally possible to see the drain motor and ensure it is not jammed by a foreign object such as a needle or a toothpick. It should be able to be turned by hand/finger- the power IS OFF!
At this point it is also possible to test if the motor works. No clothes or water in the machine, select a spin cycle and put the power back on. You should be able to see the motor turning at some point, possibly straight away. If it doesn't work then the motor is malfunctioning!

Hope the filter is the problem and good luck!

GE front load washer will not complete the rinse & spin cycle

1) 1st check the filter under the machine (it unscrews behind the access panel 2) open front door and pull back the rubber membrane to see metal and clean out the debris blocking drain holes 3) remove the drain hose from the machine (spring clip) and try and run water thru it and keep blowing out the junk and re-attach 4) run the machine thru 2 cleaning cycles w/bleach and without bleach 5) start using less detergent

Washer doesn't run all the way thru cycles. It's

Removed hose connecting to water pump at tub. Removed clog (ink pen, coins, etc). Replaced and ran washer. Ran through all cycles - no leaking, no pausing of cycles. Problem is resolved.

I just got a brand new GE Front Loader Washer & Dryer.

No, but it depends on in part on what cycle you selected. Did you happen to choose one with an extra rinse cycle?

GE front loading washer - WBVH6240FWW

Most modern front loading machines have a ESTIMATED time display, this time can change based on the inputs from different sensors and water temperature. So this should be normal.
