My broiler won't turn off even when oven is off. I was recommended to disconnect the broiler wires. I don't know which wires those are. It is a Kenmore oven range.
Rojas,
I would seriously re-think your decision to get into this. The problem is the Bake/Broil selector switch and is REALLY difficult to explain how to replace. There are only 6 wires on the failed switch, but getting to it and wiring it properly is beyond the purview of this forum because the chances of mis-wiring it could cause; at best, another component failure and, at worst... serious injury or death.
I'm not kidding.
Generally speaking, hiring a professional tech to install this for you would run about $200. But that's peanuts compared to a new oven or an extended hospital stay.... or a funeral.
I really not joking.
Anyway, I hope you consider NOT getting in there since you don't know what you'd be looking for. Also... kill the breaker 'til you get this thing fixed.
I hope you consider my response to be a solution, because that's exactly what it is. Since you do, will you show me some FixYa love like I did you and rate this solution?
