Picture intermittently goes dim.

I have a Hitachi 60VS810 Cineform LCD projection TV and I not replaced the lamp yet. Is this just the lamp going out or something more serious?

How many hours on the lamp timer?  If 10,000 or more the lamp is approaching end of life and should be replaced.  Lamp will dim when approaching end of life rather than just go out.

Replaced lamp and still picture is dim

May be time to have a technician look at it--I would suspect the ballast the powers the lamp but their are other possible reasons for this.

Hitachi LCD M50VS810 -- picture gradually darkened up over the past 4 days and now picture won't come on. Replace bulb?

If it uses a lamp that is possible---sets with a lamp will often dim down just before the lamp fails in a total way.

How do I fix My 50 inch Hitachi Ultravision TV?

Likely the lamp in the set has failed here which does make sense if the picture was dim before---a lot of lamps just before failing all the way dim down.

My Hitachi LCD rear projection TV has blue color in left corner

It is most likely the tube going out. Find some one to replace the tube if the TV is fairly new other wise it is going to be a trend. One tube now and another.. and so on. Ride it out as long as you can then go for an upgrade
