How do i scan a pic? Canon Pixma MP160
  1. Turn on your Canon Pixma MP160
  2. Click on start
  3. Click on My Computer
  4. Scroll down and look for the icon Canon Pixma MP160
  5. Double click the Canon Pixma MP160 icon
  6. A dialog box will appear choose one and click ok.
  7. Your Canon Pixma MP160 will now start scanning.

How do i scan a document to my mac with a canon mp160?
Run MP Navigator (you can get it and the scanner driver from Canon if you don't already have it). Click on the leftmost tab, then click on "Photos/Documents (Platen)" for basic scanning. For more advanced options click on "Open Scanner Driver" instead.

Yes. The MP160 has a nice program that comes with the printer. If you got it used you can find the software on line. I suggest you use Picasa from Google when scanning photos or any sort of paperwork.
