I have the same problem, Performance indicator light stays on even when old bag is replaced. No suction and cannot find any blockage.

Are you getting suction through the hose? I had the same problem. My hose was clogged with a bottle cap and lots of dust and dirt. I cleaned out the hose and problem was solved.

I have the same problem; replaced the bag and now there is no suction. I opened it back up and ensured the bag was installed properly and it was. I'm going to try and clear the pathways as suggested

I too have the same problem. I cleared the hose and still have no suction. This is the first time this has happened, I've changed the bag dozens of times before.

I have the same problem. I changed the bag and the red light was still on. I found a sock stuck in the wabbly hose. I had to take the whole thing apart to find it.

If you have something like a metal ball, drop it down one end of the hose to see if it comes out the other side. The hose, wands or the inlet in the power head, if any of these have a clog, that red light comes on and suction is low.

This problem could be very easy. remove the power mate from the rest of the vac. now in the hole where the wand should go spray a mild cleaning solution mixed with water. just spray a little. now take a rag and stuff it inside the hole until you can reach the other end of the rag by where the brushes are. grab each end of the rag and move it in and out (as if you are polishing a shoe) this might just do the trick. Dirt passing through this point gets stuck on the lens where the sensor is located and will cause this problem. Try not to pickup wet dirt and keep your brushes cleaned. if this does not work then bring it to your local Sears repair center.
good luck

There is a suction control on the end of the hose. Its a hole in the metal part of the hose (sticking out from the end) with a circular piece of plastic wrapped around it. I had not noticed it before, but once I covered up the hole, normal suction was restored.

Electrolux 2100 vac dies when you attach hose even with new bag.

If the bag full light keeps coming on, you can first try adjusting the dial on top of the vacuum cleaner. If that does not work, then you need to change the control valve. This is an internal component of the canister and is directly below the dial. You will need to follow the instructions on a previous post to open the Electrolux plastic canister vacuum, and remove the bage cage. Once you remove the bage cage you can change the control valve, and this will solve your problem with the bag full indicator.

The light on the top of the vaccum stays light and

You have a Electrolux, not a Guardian though, right? The light you are talking about is the bag full indicator. I know your bag is not full, so, try this. The knob on the top of the cleaner is a fine adjustment designed to let the bag fill up in different conditions, (dirt types) . So...turn the dial down to setting 2. Try it again. Did it work? If so, this is your adjustment . No need to ever adjust it agin. It is NOT the suction control. If this did not fix ya (haha) then, your adjustment diaphragm is bad and you will have to break down and bring it to Aerus(Electrolux) for a repair. I hope this info was helpful, if so, please leave feedback, it helps my rating, Thanks, Rene(The Vacuum Doctor)

Lost suction - Hoover Wind Tunnel S3630

You have a clog. The "bag full" indicator is nothing but a vacuum gauge, and impeding the airflow will cause a false indication of a full bag.
Clear your hoses and the air pathways behind the brushroll, and you will be back in business.

Red light won't turn off

You probably have a clog in either the hose, or the dirt inlet by the brush roll. That red light is telling you that either the bag is full or a clog is not allowing suction.

Red light stays on

Most likely the hose or the inlet down by the brush roll has a clog in it. The red light indicates a full bag, but if there is a clog, then it thinks it has a full bag.

Performance indicator light

check to make sure the bag isn't being sucked into the air filter. open the access door where the bag is and you'll see the air filter at the bottom. to check, leave the door open while you would see the performance indicator light on, and then pull up the bag. this is one of many solutions i'm sure to the performance indicator problem.
