SOURCE: Tray will not open
Thank you for your help, but like I stated, the rubber band, (belt) that drives the gear to open the tray is BUSTED. Found a place that sells them, will replace this week end. I don't think holding any keys down will open the tray, since it's driven by the belt from the tiny motor. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the force disk eject is the same across all Panasonic models - however I couldn't find anything specific for your model number. Still worth a shot, though.
With the unit in standby, press and hold the 'Stop' and 'Ch up' buttons together. It should power up and force the tray open. If this doesn't work, try changing up your timing by pressing and holding 'Stop' first, then a half-second later, press and hold 'Ch up' and keep them both held together. You can also try the opposite.
If none of these work, it will have to be taken apart to get the disc out. If you aren't comfortable trying, it will have to go to service.

May be 4 to 6 screws holding on the cover. Remove the cover to access the disc.

this unit has an optical-eye, not recording heads. opening the drawer then unplugging unit will expose the eye. never look into the eye when unit has power. this x-ray can and will burn your owh eyes lens&retina. good luck. clean with 90% isopropyl alcohol and q-tip. mch

This happened to me. I bought a new hard drive. Just got it today! It must be the exact same one. Maxtor, 80G 133.
