When starting up won't progress beyond initial MSI screen on monitor. Freezes. Keyboard (wireless microsoft 1.1) and mouse don't do anything. Keyboard / mouse interface which connects to Computer no longer light up. When tested on laptop works fine. So far have reseated all data cables, memory discs and video board with no success.
First of all try to attach a wired mouse and keyboard. Secondly, try to enter BIOS and check if there is any problem there (does it recognize you hard disc(s) for instance, (e.t.c.)? ) and report back please.
Thanks for that...I went and bought a wired keyboard and mouse and tried that but no good. I'd actually tried the wireless keyboard on a laptop and it worked fine so I'm fairly lost here. I've taken out the CMOS battery from the motherboard and let it sit for a while, powered it up without the battery and then turned it off, let it sit for a while, replaced the CMOS battery and powered it up again but still no good. I can't enter into any key commands, tab, delete or anything to access BIOS so that's out also.
I see! Some more suggestions then:
1) Attach a wired keyboard using the PS/2 port if your laptop has a PS/2 port(you do not have to buy another keyboard. You can just connect your USB keyboard to the extension
2)You can open your laptop and see if the ribbon of your keyboard is well connected. Check all these and report back please!
Thanks but the problem is with a PC(desktop), not a laptop. I used my laptop to see if the problem was with the PC's wireless keyboard (which worked fine on the laptop) as means of fault finding. Even with the wired keyboard there were no power lights coming on when connected to the desktop. I've tried all USB ports to no avail but when I've tried other devices (i.e gaming controller) they get power. Unfortunately as the computer won't boot up beyond the initial MSI company screen I can't progress to any form of BIOS access at all. I appreciate your help with this but maybe my CPU has had it?
Today I've taken the Pryon back to where I got it from and spoke with a technician there. After going through all the stuff that I've done he ran a test on it and has advised me that the motherboard has had it. I'm getting my data transferred from the HD to and external HD and will make do with the laptop until further notice. Thanks for all your help Iron Fist. Much appreciated.
Oh, I see! R.I.P. poor PC! No problem! I hope you do not face any problems again! If you do, however, I will be more than happy to assist you!

SOURCE: Unable to start in Safe Mode with Command Prompt in XP Media Center 2005
Hi there. My name is Alex and I am here to help solve this problem
Depending if the BIOS has legacy USB support for keyboard and mouse enabled, you should be able to run safe mode by pressing F8 before the computer boots into windows. I would not recommend going into the BIOS if you do not have much knowledge to the computer as one wrong configuration could cause some behaviour problems or even damage to the pc's components
I recommend connecting a keyboard and mouse that have cable and the PS/2 connectors (purple and green) which can be found at back of the computer at the top. Then restart your computer, hold down F8 and you will be able to run safe mode. The mouse and keyboard will then work
Keep both the keyboard and mouse plugged in and boot windows. When you get into windows, plug in the USB keyboard and mouse into a USB slot and wait whilst it detects it. After a couple of minutes you should be able to use your USB mouse and keyboard and take out the PS/2 keyboard and mouse
I hope this has helped. Please let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance.

what web browser are you using with the pc? microsoft blocks users that are using anything other than internet explorer, cannot access with firefox or opera unless you change your user agent.

This can be solved in either of two steps.
>There should be "SPECIAL KEY" in the keyboard labelled as "SLEEP" or "STANDBY"...try clicking it..
<or>
>Check the monitor ON-BOARD settings for "POWER SAVER MODE".
Hope this will solve u r problem..
Plz revert back for any queries.
SOURCE: Code 10 network adapter
Teredo tunneling is a method of tunneling IPV6 traffic over an IPV4 network.99.9999999% of the networking in the world is IPv4 so why vista would want to change it is beyond me but yet another failing of Vista no wonder it's being replaced this year I just feel sorry for the mugs that have it and are still being sold it!
However back to your problem and a solution t's simple just do the following and you should be OK
To uninstall IPv6 from a computer using the command prompt
1. Open Command Prompt.
2. At the command prompt, type ipv6 uninstall, and then press ENTER.
SOURCE: ps2 port doesn't recognize Microsoft Optical mouse
You might think about a USB hub for all your USB devices. ps2 port is more or less dedicated for mouse, which is why your mouse pointer is stuck in the middle of the screen. Go ahead and get an externally powered USB Hub to power other USB devices. To answer, ps2 for mouse needs just a mouse, not USB device.
