This is how you put it back to Factory Settings...

If you are unable to get into Windows to start the recovery then you start the process when you first switch on the PC.
As soon as you turn on your PC, tap the F11 key on the keyboard until you get the "Windows is loading files..." message. When Recovery Manager has loaded click advanced options. Choose system recovery.

Turn on the computer.
When the initial blue HP screen appears Press the "F10" key.
A Recovery menu will appear.
Click on "NEXT"

Your system will now go through the product recovery

hope this helps

While restarting the computer keep tapping on the F10 key
on the next screen you will find start system recovery , and on the next screen you will find advanced options
in advanced option you will find an option for Destructive Recovery.. click that

If you are not able to run the recovery on the computer as above then you will need no use a set of recovery cds..... if you dont have them you can get it from HP..

HOW CAN I REST MY HP OMNI 100PC BACK TO ITS FACTORY SETTINGS

I think hammering the F11 key a few times during system startup will get you into the HP recovery manager. If someone has reformatted/reinstalled the hard drive then this may not be available. Sometimes this is also disabled in the BIOS. I think it's F1 or F10 during startup on that model to get into the BIOS.

Black screen after start.

An HP Laptop? Try pressing FN (lower left rows on keyb) and then F4 which forces the PC to switch video output from the LDC (Screen) To the VGA Out on back of PC, to Both!

Another possibility is that the VIDEO selections you have made are too acute for the screen and Windows cannot continue (nor can it tell you it can't) so press F8 key while booting, select 'Last known Good' and see if that flies. Last known good is the settings for your PC that worked last time you booted. If that does the same thing, then reboot using F8 again and select 'Safe mode'

This will force WIN to use only known good settings, and then you can fix the problem by START, RUN and typing 'compmgmt.msc', choosing 'Devices', clicking the little + by Display Adapters, highlighting yours and hitting the DEL key. This will remove it and its settings from the Registry (but not the HD) and force Windows to reinstall and reconfigure it

Hope that all helps!
Cheers

When you first turn on your computer, press the F10 key until it boots into the recovery partition. Once there, select advanced then follow the onscreen instructions. Warning: This will erase all of your data.

Some newer HPs use a different key then F10; if F10 doesn't work, then look on the screen it should tell you which key to press to start recovery.
