I have the red and blue convergence option in menu and a auto convegence option and nothing else. I tried the auto convergence option it makes a flash of green then nothing changes what could my issue be ? I have read about the possible blown fuse option to replace. I have not tried anything yet, Is the fuse route option for me and my issue??
Since you have the convergence options in your menu i would figure that you do not have the common fl231 fuse problem....Now is any part of the picture good. is the picture a bow tie. if you go into red and blue manual option will the crosshairs move up and down and left and right. If you have the bowtie or push in fromtop and bottoml then the likely problem is what is call the convergence power board. if you do have some control over the crosshairs then it may be the convergence amp board. convergence is controled by three diffrent cuicit boards. if you have to replace these boards it may just may need someone like a tech to do a serivce convergence.

I wish i had replied sooner but yes i have the bow tie and I do have control over my cross hairs and I also chanced that fuse and resoldered my flyback for no reason because I now realize I did not need to. Okay my convergence power board or convergence amp board, is the anything I can do to fix it myself ? or do I have no choice but to get a service tech to charge me for what I can purchace a new big screen for ? I remember my screen going bad after a big power outage from a lightning storm in the neighborhood. when i turned the TV back on i had the convergence problem. Whats my option? Do I have one?
