Since you do not mention which Dell Monitor you have connected you can click the link below and choose your monitor from the list. Once you have chosen the monitor you can click on the Online Users Manual Tab to view the information.

Not in the monitor, there is a sound bar that attaches to the bottom of the screen that is optional that added speakers to that model.

Do you need a USB cable from one of the USB ports on your computer to a USB port on the monitor?

Cable Connections On Back of Dell 1503FP 15" LCD Monitor and Computer D-sub(Blue colour) is the VGA cable , hence Dell 1503FP 15" LCD Monitor have VGA capability.

I have a similar problem to monitor DELL E2310Hc
By replacing the capacitors C704 and C707,100?F / 25V
the logic board
the problem is solved

Dell had a problem with horizontal lines in some of their monitors a little while back. I would try contacting Dell Tech Support to see if your monitor is one of the one effected. I think they were replacing the monitors that had the problem, but I'm not completely sure.

If you have another monitor for desktop hook other monitor up then under hardware and software in control panel, add the dell monitor, then hook it up. Some operating systems need the driver to be added first. My brother almost threw away agood dell lcd monitor before I told him this, now he loves the lcd, works great.

Dell support , would recommend you to buy a new monitor because , they donot do any repairs on the LCD monitors., except for exchanging them, if they are in warranty. You can try the following people , they do repairs on dell flat panels
