I have Intel 102ggc with 2Gig Ram and I recently updated the bios, now when my Pc shuts down illegaly then it resets Date/Time and throws an error stating. "The Firmware has detected that Cmos Checksum Error has occurred. Press Enter to Continue..." I changed Three Batteries none fixed the issue. The Cmos jumper is on the same place as it was before the Bios Update. I tried switching jumper then it would say put the jumper back Cmos is reset. Still the problem exists. Please help me solve this issue if one can. Thanks in Advance. Dear IT Friends, Please tell me about the soluation on the following two things: (1)The firmware has detected that a CMOS Checksum Error occurred. Press the Enter key tocontinue. (2) The firmware has detected that the system date/time has not been set. Press the enter key to continue. Kindly do the needful to give reply. Thanks & Regards, Rishikesh
Hi there.
Basically you first bios update was bad, if you can get into the operating system re-flash the bios again, that will sort it out.
Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

There was an error while updating the BIOS, or the wrong BIOS was used.
