I want to hook up my DVD player

f the entire VHS is full then you can easily transfer the VHS contents to the DVD. The video will play while it is recording onto the DVD, but you don't have to have it hooked up to any TV for it to record. Now if you don't know how long the VHS content is that you want to record to DVD, then you will have to hook up the player to a TV so that you can press stop when you reach the end of the content you want recorded. At least this is true in the way that I use to transfer VHS to DVD:

1) Turn on the unit
2) Insert VHS tape
3) Insert DVD-+R or DVD-+ RW
4) Using remote, press VCR
5)Using remote, press play then pause the tape where you want to start recording.
6)Using remote, press DVD
7) Using the remote, press DUBBING. The VHS should start to play and the DVD should start recording

When using this method, don't hit the RECORD button!

To unlock all its locked functions, you must have its original remote control A universal remote control won't go. Try to get its original one. Don't waste more money by buying a universal remote control.

I ASSUME YOU DON'T HAVE A REMOTE FOR YOUR TV EITHER SO...

I WOULD EITHER PURCHASE AN INEXPENSIVE UNIVERSAL REMOTE COMPATIBLE TO THE DVD PLAYER AND EITHER USE PATCH CORDS, OR AN A/B SPLITTER, SO YOU CAN GO OUT THE DVD INTO THE TV...THE SAME AS YOU WOULD HOOK UP A VCR.

YOU DON'T NEED A REMOTE FOR EITHER, YOU CAN TURN BOTH ON AND OFF MANUALLY...

YOU ONLY NEED TO MAKE SURE THE TV IS SET TO THE SAME CHANNEL AS ON THE DVD PLAYER 3 OR 4.

Greetings - You need to have you DVD player hooked up to the video inputs - See below. Don't mind the mouse scratch out lines. The Device on the right represents your DVD player.




You then have to choose video as your source on the TV (not channel 3 or 4) using your remote - see below.

If the TV has a tv/video button on the front
panel you can switch to video and just
operate the DVD with the DVD remote
If there is no TV/VIDEO switch then you
will need a universal remote with TV/VIDEO
