I have the exact same drive. If off-the-shelf cables are not working (which is odd) I would suggest buying a USB 3.0 extender. This will extend it about 3 feet. You can purchase them for <$5 online! Let me know if this helped out any.
Looking at the board with the SATA connectors to the right and the backplate to the left. Look to the lower right corner of the board. You will see a group of two rows of pins(9pins with one missing) The pin that is missing is pin#10. The pins are numbered even on the pin#10 side, odd on the other. The Power Switch - Pin 2 is the Red wire/white is Pin 4. The Power Led - Pin 6 is blue pin 8 is white. Shhhh! Must be a Gateway Secret.
Some vehicles don't run well with the platinum plugs. It will cause the engine to misfire and skip. I would go back with the OEM or a step above unless your car came with platinum plugs which is doubtful. The plugs may be firing off correct when cold but as the engine warms and more friction is there the plugs may be doing more bad because it's not firing correct from the plug being warm. It sounds strange but I work for BOSCH and there are alot of things that don't seem normal to someone that's not involved in making these parts and seeing the everyday test and use. Good Luck. Let me know what you find out and what works.
You have a loose wiring connection either at the plug, in the cable or at the switch. The most likely place is where the cable gets strained, at the plug or where it goes into the body of the cleaner. The switch could be faulty. Plug in switch on and move wiring near plug does it start? yes? then plug out check plug if you can or cut wire 2" from plug annd put new plug on. If no leave it switched on Then try same near where cable goes in. If it stats get someone to remake connection into switch. If no switch on and odd without touching cable. Does it start? if yes switch needs replacing. If no report back.
You have a cable running from the battery to the motor. That cable has a connector that must be disconnected by squeezing the sides of the connector. Now take the cable end from the charger and connect it to the connector that is connected to the battery. I know they look a little odd, but they will match up...and only one way.
It's either cables not connected correctly, or the TV that you are connecting it to is muted or the audio source isn't correct (for example running thru an external audio system). Try connecting it to another TV in the house and if it works, then you'll know if it is or if it's not the DVD player itself. Also try a different audio cable. If it's RCA plugs (typically, the older style with Yellow, Red, and White colors on the connections), it's odd for them to fail, but not sure the connections you have.
