My monitor does not work right. it says vga not support.. its a proview 17" flatscreen..active matrix tft lcd

Right click on desktop and click screen resolution. Then select the recommended resolution for your monitor and click apply then OK. This sholud solve your problem.

On the Proview 468 and possibly the PL-456s and the PZ-456if you look at the end of the VGA chord that you connect to the back of the computer right in between the two screws is a power connector for a 12 volt power supply this is for the 468 I hope this helps with your dilemma on how it gets power. Try to adjust the picture adjustment.Like the contrast and brightness

New monitor? Does old monitor still work? Did the monitor ever work? did the computer ever work? is power light on computer on? is power light on monitor still on?

you should change al lthe caps in the PSU.. you can get them all from Maplins for a few pounds.
best get 105 centigrade ones
