SOURCE: Simpson washing machine not turning on

check outlet with multimeter for 120 volts .If voltage found check cord for 120 volts .If cord has 120 volts turn on timer jumper lid switch . did this help?

I had the same problem with my Neptune washer until I ran a cycle with straight vinegar and water. This helped get rid of the mold. I have to run a "vinegar" cycle about every 10 cycles. I would try cleaning the seal with vinegar first and let it air dry. Neptune washers need to air dry after every cycle.

Could be timer fault although good chance its stopping as it gets to rinse indicating faulty Solonoid valve..Good luck

It could be power problems or the circuit breaker.The load in the washing machine is not balanced or there are too many clothes inside it.The wrong kind of detergent is being used.

there is probably something stuck in the pump thats jamming it,remove pump and check inside if nothing then bench test pump,if good a broken wire in the loom

Usually has a securing ring just under the arm. Turn it quarter turn & arms comes off. If no ring to turn then arm will just pull straight off.

Yes. Some have water & some have sand in that ring. It is a balance ring to stop vibration when bowl spins. Do not empty it.

Keeps going out of balance

Most washing machines have an Out Of Balance (OOB) switch inside the electrics. This switch can control a number of functions within the machine. It may need replacing. I don't know where you would find it in a Simpson washer but the following website shows the switch in a Fisher & Paykel top-load washing machine.

Mouldy rubber seal

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean. There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it. Snaking out your standpipe would be good too. Regarding the mould; keep your door open after yur washing is done, (means dont shut it tight) it will help to dry the insides & prevent moulding. Only see your cat is not inside before starting a new wash.
