This error is also find on installing Primavera P6 on windows 7. When this error comes then don't uninstall & re-install Primavera P6, Its quite easy to solve this issue by just copying the Language folder from the setup folder to the installed location as shown in the error message.

You can make it compatable for win 7. When you install the program, right click on the install icon. on the list that pops up you will see troubleshoot compatability. choose that. when the wizard pops up, chose the second option and click next. you will see a series of check boxes to help make it compatable. chose the first and third check box. click next. in the next window you can chose which version of operating system it normally runs under. pick the one that normally works (sometimes you just have to experiment for the right one). click next and click on the run the program button. install the program as you normally would. it should function properly after that.

Hi, I am assuming you are using Windows 7 64-bit. Primavera 3 probably does not work in Windows 7.

Try running the installer in compatibility mode or if you have Windows 7 Pro or Ultimate you can use XP mode.

as for as i know,if u hav windows7 professional and above versions no problem.u can download virtual machine and u can switch to win xp virtual mode.in winxp u can install p3.1.if u r having win7 home premium,there is no virtual mode.i am still searching for answer.

Before installing primavera p6, check whether any SQL databases with the same name exists. Uninstall the SQL if the databases created during the previous failure installation of primavera p6(go to add or remove programs to uninstall). After uninstallation of SQL express, try to run installation files for primavera p6 will solve your problem.

It works with Win 7 Ultimate, but it should work with all versions -you need to install SQL Server SP3 BEFORE running P6 for the first timethough...

1. Go to My Computer
2. Go to Tools
3. Folder Options
4. File Types Tab
5. Find the file type "Primavera Draw" with the "PMT" extension
6. Delete this file type
7. Click on the "New" button to create a new file type
8. Enter "PMT" for the file extension and click OK
9. With the "PMT" file type selected, click on the "Advanced" button
10. Enter "Primavera Draw" in the box next to the "Change Icon" button
11. Click on the "Change Icon" button
12. Click on the "Browse" button and navigate to C:\P3WIN\P3PROGS\PRMDRAW.EXE
13. Select one of the two icons (I like the color one) and click "OK"
14. Click on the "New" button next to the "Actions" list
15. Type "open" in the box under "Action"
16. Type "C:\P3WIN\P3PROGS\PRMDRAW.EXE" in the box under "Application used to perform action"
17. Click "OK"
18. Click "OK" again
19. Click "Close"
20. Close "My Computer"
