Yes, the seven flashes indicate that the system did not learn tach. Do you have the tach wire connected at the coil or an injector? If so, turn the ignition on, press and release the programming button three times, turn the ignition off. Press and hold the programming button, start the vehicle. Continue to hold the programming button. The parking light should be flashing at this time. after about 15 seconds, release the programming button, the parkings will come solid and then go off. Turn the vehicle off, the tach is now programmed. Test the system.
If the tach wire is not connected, you can program the system for tachless/voltage.
Turn the ignition on, press and release the programming button three times, turn the ignition off. Turn the ignition on,off, on, then press the programming button 5 times ( the parking lights will flash five times, press the lock button on the remote three times. This will put your setting at voltage. The setting for crank time is still set at averging so, you will have to start the vehicle four(4) times with the key so the remote starter can average the crank time.

If your system is installed in the tachless configuration, you may experience starting problems in cold weather. For some vehicles, this configuration works fine but in others it can be problematic in the cold. The procedure you described is for tach learning. This procedure only works if the tach wire is connected and the module is programmed for tach sensing. You should have the shop that installed the system check and correct the problem.
If you are mechanically inclined and comfortable with working with the automotive electrical systems, you can attempt to make the connections and programming yourself.

You want to connect the green/orange wire to the vehicle's tach source. You did not mention what year, make and model vehicle you have so I am not able to tell you what wire you need to interface. Once the connection is made, you will need to follow the procedure on page 4 of the manual for bank 3 option 5. You want to set it to tachometer input checking mode. See page 22 for the tach learning procedure, once the system learns the tach signal, your system should function properly.

1. Open a door. (The GREEN wire, H1/8, or the VIOLET,

H1/6 must be connected.)

2. Insert the key. Turn the ignition to the ON position.

The heavy gauge pink wire must be connected.

more and hold it. The LED will flash and the siren will chirp to confirm

You don't have to program the tach brother.. just hook the wire they tell you to use to the Negitive coil wire or to the tach its self. the Alarm is self learning. when it see's a signial it will determine if its a 6, 8 or 4 cyl and what the RPM's are and thats it man bob;s ur uncle..! Apart from the inginition wires ( you must check if there are 12 volts), the alarm needs to read the tach reading properly from the car to stay running. If the tach rate is not learned by the system, it will cut out almost immediately. You need to ensure that this tach wire is connected to the tach under the hood. When this has been connected, you need to ensure that the alarm learns the rate. This can be done automatically on some models or manually on others. Ensure that the appropariate wire is connected to your tach wire; it should work properly after that
