I was getting a message to replace the black cartridge. I let it go for a couple days and then it printed a blank page. I replaced the black cartridge and the pages are still blank. I hold down the "Upper Level" button for 2 seconds to get it to print a test page but that is blank as well. Any suggestions?

My MF 6530 printer began printing light so we changed the cartridge and the machine began printing blank pages. When the other cartridge was put back in the machine, it too began printing blank pages. We have several of these machines in a couple of offices and have had this problem before. Canon is aware of the issue with this model, but I would like to know it as well. Can you help with what the problem is and the repair instruction? A friend of mine with this machine and the same problem, had called Canon and they had repaired it quite fast in his office. I'd like to do it myself in case it re-occurrs.
I just sprayed windex on bottom of cartridge several times and wiped with paper towel until dark streak of black appeared. Then I dried off cartridge and replaced. It works now. Must have been clogged.
