Wire feed does not stop. Not the trigger.

Got a Solar MIG welder and the wire feed does not stop. Pulled out the trigger connections and it still would not stop. The feed speed also does not seem to be working. This is the large model about the size of those old Miller MIGs.

I have a Hobart 251 mig welder and when I turn it on the wire comes out of the the gun and won't stop till I shut it off ?

If the wire feed on your Hobart 251 MIG welder won't stop when you turn it on, there could be a few possible causes. Here are a few things to check:
  1. Check the trigger on the MIG gun: Make sure that the trigger on the MIG gun is not stuck or damaged. If the trigger is stuck in the "on" position, it will cause the wire to continuously feed.
  2. Check the wire feed motor: The wire feed motor could be faulty or jammed, causing the wire to feed continuously. Try disconnecting the wire feed motor from the welder and see if the wire still feeds. If it does not, then the motor is likely the problem.
  3. Check the wire spool: Make sure that the wire spool is installed correctly and is not jammed or tangled. If the wire is not feeding smoothly from the spool, it could cause the wire to feed continuously.
  4. Check the wire feed control settings: Ensure that the wire feed control settings are set correctly. If the wire feed speed is set too high, it could cause the wire to feed continuously.
If none of these solutions resolve the issue, it may be best to contact a qualified technician or the manufacturer for further assistance.

Why does wire keep coming out when trigger is not pulled

From the mig welder, unplug the trigger leads that exit the mig gun on the end of the gun that connects to the mig welder and power on your machine. If the wire flow stops, you have a shorted trigger circuit inside of the gun cable. If it doesn't stop wire flow, depending on your machine make & model, there is an internal issue with the trigger circuit that could possibly be just a simple relay issue.

I have a kende mig 105 gasless welder, but the wire isn't getting fed through on the feed wheel, tried different welding wire and also turned the wheel, tried tightening the wheel, slackening it as well,i

Here's a few things you can check:
When gun trigger is pulled, do the drive wheels turn? If they aren't, pull the trigger again; do you hear anything within the machine (contactors closing, gas solinouds opening, any clicking, etc.) that would indicate the trigger circuit is functional?
If the drive wheels are turning, but wire isn't being pushed thru the mig gun, check for proper drive roll vs. wire size. If that is correct, check gun liner for obstructions. Flux cored wire tends to stop up a wire liner fairly quickly.

Lincon mig stops feeding wire

Been welding for a while, open side, check for proper tension on the feed wheel inside side panel, hit the trigger, if feed motor continues to spin tensioner needs tightened or mig wire may be getting hung up inside main cable lead. If motor is off on off on then its probbably the switch on the trigger getting a bad good connection, hope this helps o and check welding tip on gun end, may need replaced if worn or melted, unscrews.

My wire feed wheel on my lincon sp130 mig welder has ceased to turn. How do I trouble shoot if it is a burned out motor or something else?

Check the voltage at the wire feed motor while the trigger is pulled. If there's no voltage, it's pretty safe that it's not the drive motor.
Also, with the unit unplugged, check the big power (stud) diodes for shorts.
I had a wire feed motor stop because 2 of the big diodes were shorted.
