Cannot dial a number..

Mm1 comes up... how do i get the key pad to dial or the ability to answer a call or dial out i have a giorgio armani samsung phone and everytime i call someone on my phone, someone call be back and says your number cannot be completed as dial, please check the number and dial again..........eventhough the number is right....I just got this phone yesterday....please need some help...
