Waring Pro Waffle Maker

Same thing happened to me. It just stopped heating up. It makes a clicking noise and the power light lights, but the ready light never comes on. Waring WMK300C Proffesional BelgianWaffle maker power light goes on and I hear what I assume is a relay clicking on but no heat. Nothing visibly wrong when taken apart. Amost new..not a wear and tear problem! Does anybody have a schematic? signed waffle-less in Winnipeg

Had same issue, found a looks like diode on the black wire leading to the heating elements. It is open circuited.Needs replacing. It is not a diode...maybe a voltage circuit protection device. It is crimped into the black wire under the sleeve clamped down near the handle.Going to radio shack to get a idea, replacement.

Hi there waffleless! sorry to hear of your troubles. since your unit is nearly new, if it is under one year it is under warranty. Do not take it apart your self as this will void the warranty. Instead send it or take it to the nearest waring service center, listed in your owner manual

Waffle plates stop heating

The most common reason for not heating up is because of a blown thermal fuse. Apparently the controller lets the iron get too hot or the fuse is out of manufacturing tolerance - and so the fuse opens.
The green lamp is normally lit when the relay is off and dark when the relay is on. When cold, the relay normally turns on within a second of power-up (switched on). During power-up, the green (ready) lamp should flicker on, and then as the relay clicks, go dark. If the green (ready) lamp does not flicker, the fuse is probably blown.
The fuse is clamped inside the bottom clamshell in silicon tubing. A replacement fuse (240°C) can be purchased from many sources. The fuse should be re-attached to the wires with new all-metal crimp fasteners.
If the iron is getting too hot and blowing thermal fuses, you may be able to avoid this failure by keeping the thermostat set lower.

Will not heat.

There is a thermal fuse inside the bottom half of the unit, enclosed in a white insulating sleeve. This appears to be the weak part of the circuit. A replacement can be found here on Amazon.com.

Waring Pro Waffle Maker

I posted the same problem (no heat) but may have found the answer. There is a component that cuts off the power if the unit gets too hot. My best guess name for it would be a "thermal fuse". If it goes...no heat. (located behind one the waffle grids inside unit..silver and black)(behind the other grid is what I believe to be a variable resistor that varies with heat..used to set heat levels in conjunction with the dial on the front of waffle maker)
When thermal fuse goes it needs to be replaced. BUT I WONDER
what caused the overheating? I will go down to Radio Shack and buy the "thermal fuse" according to the data on the old "fuse" and put it in...then ????waffles or sparks???
the old fuse has printed on it: sheng ping SPF240 TF240 Deg. Celsius 10 amps 250volts 073 and some symbols
Wish me luck

Waring Wafflemaker power light comes on but won't heat up

My just over 1-year old WWM200SA did the same thing while I was cooking with it (used it about 5 times). I found a solution under the WWM200PC thread that the thermal fuse blew early. I tested mine and that's what happened. It is a cheap part, but I called Waring Customer service (800-269-6640) instead and they said to send it in for replacement.

Heating element

I personnally just went through this.

If it is less than one year old, and you have the receipt, go to the waring site, and look up the nearest dealer for repair and bring it to them. They should be able to contact waring for you and get you a replacement.

My replacement had a silver body virsus the original black body. The shop told me they have yet had a customer repeat of this problem.

WMK300 turns on but doest not heat up

the problem is an open thermal fuse. This fuse is located in the fixed grill; it is clamped to the grill and is covered by a white plastic sleeve.

The replacement part should be a 240°C/464°F 10 - 15 Amp thermal fuse. NTE sells a part NTE8242 which works available from Mouser.com for $1.41 plus shipping.
