My Logitech V220 optical cordless mouse suddenly quit working. I thought maybe it was the battery so I replaced it, however it still does not work. I've only had it for 3 months. When I try to use it after putting in the USB it does not move, even though the light will come on briefly. Ok, I'm thinking that I'm an idiot but really not. Replaced batteries (2) AA batteries into mouse, clicked the connect button on the remote and then clicked both power and reset buttons on the mouse. Nothing happens. I went out and bought a second set of batteries thinking the ones I bought were bad but no, it still won't connect. HELP I need my laptop.

Hi three, uninstall the Logitech V220 Cordless optical mouse driver from the laptop and then restart the laptop again. Now install that Logitech V220 Cordless optical mouse driver again . I am sure its will start working. If not then make sure your batter Is properly fixed inside in the mouse & that's fully charged. After those thing if still not working then visit service center, because the mouse censer stop working and its damaged.
Thanks & waiting for your feedback.
Most opticals do not track on smooth white surfaces. It needs textures or color. Try pressing the "CONNECT" button on the bottom of the mouse and on the remote sensor.
The V220 is a quite nice rodent, my favorite. Check 3 things.
1) Is the battery facing the right way? Minus end goes in first. Green LED should turn on for a few seconds after the battery is installed.
2) Is the mouse ON? The switch under the mouse is supposed to turn on automatically when the receiver is removed. This does not always work.
3) Unplug the USB Receiver. Connect it to a different USB port. Run the Logitech Connect utility.
If the mouse still does not work, uninstall the Setpoint software and reboot. It is possible that the driver did not install correctly. After reboot, try Step 3 again.
Setpoint software is only needed if you want to use the wheel click or horizonal scroll features.
If all else fails, try installing your V220 on a different computer.
This is the link to the donwload page of Logitech V220 cordless notebook mouse SpinPoint software. Pick an OS and a version (32bit or 64bit OS) then donwload.
you need to connect it back to the reciever, everytime you connect the mouse on the bottom it will be looking for the reciever to connect to. Try pressing the connect button on the reciever first then the connect button on the mouse
