type in on google vivitar vivicam 5386.....it will bring a screen up that says owner iq it has your brand of camera and you can ask questions for it on that sight.. and it may help you. are u trying to get your pic of the camera, does it have a card that you put in for your pic, if so u can buy a card reader at best buy its called scan disk card reader... and you install it on your computer and you put ur card in it and brings it up on your computer. hope this helps

The vivicam 5100 doesn't require additional software ones the camera is connected you can find - look - copy - delete your pictures by opening the camera drive from my computer, ones connected it should appear as a new disk there.

the weird thing, is that there are the drivers for the 5385, not for the 86.. but i am sure 5385 can work for you

I assume that you have already tried plugging in your camera and letting Vista look for the correct driver! If you have your original disk that came with the camera, try it. Even though it was not for Vista. Most USB equipment require that you first install the drivers before you plug in the device. I have not checked the Vivitar web site since I still use Windows XP but they might have a driver available for your camera. Keep in mind that you do not need to use the USB port to download your pictures to the computer!!! You could purchase a USB Card Reader that is Vista compatable and simple remove the Memory card from your camera and let the Card Reader transfer your pictures to the computer. When you have finnished copying your pictures to the computer, do not let the computer delete them! If you do, the camera may not work properly. I once let the computer blank out the memory chip and then my camera would not work until I reformated the chip with the camera. Then the chip would work again. Simply use your camera to remove the pictures after you have put them on your computer.

Very easy. I just bought a friend a used one.No software. Just buy a card reader that fits into your USB port.Insert SD card and download to your computer.No canles needede.
