Alignment x3650 So I just installed the drivers for my printer, and the digital readout on the printer says to add paper and press 'ok' to begin alignment. I do so, then after the printer spits out a blank piece of paper the following error displays 'Alignment problem. Remove tape from cartirdges. Check paper. Press ok to rety.

Well remove the cartridges and ensure that there is no sticky tape across the printer faces
follow the instructions again

SOURCE: alignment problem

Disconnect from computer - remove cartridges - wipe the bottom of them - not the side - reinsert - reconnect - try again - should ask to realign cartridges... cheers

    SOURCE: My printer error message indicates-

    Make sure you are using the correct cartridges for your model. Try to remove both the cartridges. Close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power outlet to reset itself. When the printer turns on, reinsert the cartridges when prompted. Close the cover and check for any error. If none, try to print again.

    Need to align ink cartridges

    Follow the steps to align newly installed cartridges.

    • When prompted, make sure plain white letter or A4 paper is loaded in the input tray.
    • Press the button next to OK on the control panel display.
    • The product prints an alignment page.
    • Place the alignment page print-side down on the right front corner of the glass.
    • Press the button next to OK on the control panel display.

    When the On button stops flashing, the alignment is complete. Remove the page and recycle or discard it.

    Method two: Print an alignment page using the computer

    • Double-click the HP Digital Imaging Monitor icon ( ) on the lower right side of the Windows taskbar.
    • The HP Solution Center displays.
    • In the HP Solution Center, click Settings . Then click Printer Toolbox .

    How to check alignment

    Aligning print cartridges
    Using the printer control panel:
    1. Load plain paper.
    2. From the printer control panel, press pattlnk_852008_1514-wrench-button.gif, and then press OK.
    3. Press the up or down arrow button until Align Cartridges is highlighted, and then press OK.
    4. Press OK again.

    An alignment page will now print.
    Using Windows

    1. Load plain paper.

    2. Do one of the following:
      - In Windows Vista, click pattlnk_852008_1527-vista-start-button.gif.
      - In Windows XP and earlier, click Start.

    3. Click All Programs or Programs, and then select the printer program folder from the list.

    4. From the printer folder, click Maintenance - Align Cartridges.

    5. Click Print.

    6. Follow the instructions on the computer screen.

    Using Macintosh

    1. Load plain paper.

    2. From the Finder desktop, double-click the printer folder.

    3. Double-click the printer utility icon.

    4. From the Maintenance tab, click Print Alignment Page.

    My hp officejet 6210 all in one is instaled under general heading: officejet 6200 series. Result: the printer reacts to command given by laptop windows xp but does not print given text. The paper comes out...

    Are you able to print Self test page from printer ( standalone ) or able to make a copy ? if you are able to make copy/print self test page from printer, this issue is with Printer Drivers, You can uninstall and reinstall the software ( download the latest software and drivers from HP website )

    If you are not able to make copy/print self test page from printer, it is issue with printer/cartridges... you need to re-align the printer

    to clean/align cartridge
    On Printer Front panel
    Press - Setup Button ( press ok)
    Press - Tools ( Press Ok )
    Press - Clean Cartridges ( Press OK )
    And/Or
    Press - Align Cartridges ( Press OK )

    Not printing black

    To align the printer from the control panel

    1. Load letter, A4, or legal unused plain white paper into the input tray.
    2. Press Setup.
    The Setup menu appears.
    3. Press to highlight Tools, and press OK.
    The Tools menu appears.
    4. Press to highlight Align Printer, and press OK.
    5. The HP All-in-One prints a test page, aligns the print head, and calibrates the printer.

    Recycle or discard the page.

    A success or failure message appears.

    Note If you have colored paper loaded in the input tray when you align the printer, the alignment will fail. Load unused plain white paper into the input tray, and then try the alignment again.If the alignment fails again, you might have a defective sensor or ink
    cartridge.

    6. Press OK to continue.

    Would not print C5280 Flashing Failure Print Cartridge allignment

    Solution
    1. Load unused plain white letter or A4 paper into the input tray.
    2. Press the Setup button.
    3. Press the down arrow button to select Tools and then press OK .
    4. Press the down arrow to select Align Printer and then press OK . The unit prints a test page, aligns the printhead, and calibrates the printer.
    5. After the success or failure message displays, click OK to continue. Recycle or discard the alignment page.
    Cause An incorrect type of paper is loaded in the input tray. If you have color or photo paper loaded in the input tray when you align the printer, the alignment might fail.

    Not responding to PC instructions to print data

    Hi,

    You need to load the PRINTED ALIGNMENT PAGE on the scanner glass, then press on "OK" button. It should start scanning the alignment page. That way, you are completing the PROCESS of ALIGNMENT.

    I had the same problem and spoke to canon australia technician. Any 4 number code means it is a servicable error. 6500 code specifically says take to a service centre...
    bugger....but thats what they told me...

    Alignment

    Check the paper size in printers properties, it may have altered. If not disconnect printer, remove printer driver from add/remove programmes. Re install driver and reconnect printer when prompted. It should now be ok
