Memorex MVD2042 DVD Player does not work

There is only 2 audio channels on player (L&R) Is there any audio input jacks for just the red and white (L&R) connections. Or just for main speakers?

This code worked for me with the Comcast DVR-3 and the Memorex 2042 DVD player: 20831
It may work with the MVD2045 as well.

Aha. I just found a solution. Press DVD menu on the lower left.

unplug for 5 minutes and it should reset itself!

I have a GE Universal Remove (RC24991-b), and the code I got to successfully work with the Memorex MVD2042 DVD Player is 0446

I'm having an identical problem with my very new "Memorex DVD". After trouble shooting everything suggested in the manual, I'm on my way to buy another "new" dvd player. Definately will not be Memorex.

If you just want to take out a DVD here's what to do:

1.Take off the top cover:
- remove five screws on the back (indicated by little arrows)
- remove two screws on each side (there are only two, this should be obvious)
- when looking at the back of the unit, slide it up and towards you.

You should now be able to see your DVD. However there is a piece covering it.

2. Take off the top of drive:
- remove two screws, (one on each side). They are very small (probably black) and on the top of the cover, on the far left and right. They might be hidden under small rubber squares. If so, just peel the squares off.
- The cover should come right off.
- lift out the disc

3. Reassemble
