Inside the refrigerator there is a coil of clear tubing that goes to the water dispenser. Pinch off this line and then you can have ice once again

SOURCE: ice and water dispenser not working but light on constantly

CM, there are 2 things that'd cause this. One is inexpensive, the other is not. First, check the cheap one... That rectangular rubber piece in back of your dispenser area is only a cover for a cantilever device. When you push in on this with a cup, the cantilever swivels back toward you and makes contact with a micro-switch. This switch sends power to the integrated circuit board which, in turn, performs the function you requested (cubed, crushed, water). OK... unplug your fridge. Then use your ears to diagnose this. Push the actuator pad several times in and out and listen for the tell-tale "click click" of the micro-switch. If you hear it clicking, it's good. Plug your fridge back in. Now for the expensive part. If your micro-switch clicks, your dispenser control board is fried and needs to be replaced. (I'm afraid that this is the case because the board controls the light as well as all the other functions.) UNPLUG YOUR FRIDGE BEFORE REPAIRING! To gain access the board, use a small flat blade screwdriver and remove the fascia panel starting at the bottom first. Just begin prying it gently off. Then remove the screws that are holding the board assy in place and gently pull it out. Take note of all of the wiring so you can re-install it correctly. The board number you need is #61005274. Unfortunately, it lists for about $100. A professional repairman would charge you over $200 for the repair, so you're actually saving money here! BTW, we recommend using a Belkin Surge protector for all appliances that utilize electronic controls. (you wouldn't plug you computer directly into a wall outlet, would you?) We regularly use these... http://www.acehardwareoutlet.com/(a1q3xi45sxgfbzm0qejhei55)/ProductDetails.aspx?SKU=3115672

SOURCE: ice buildup in freezer drip pan and water overflow

Your evaporator coils frost up in normal use and every eight hours or so the entire unit shuts down and the defrost heater comes on to melt the frost. This cycle last about 20 minutes. The melted frost drips into a drain pan and through a drain tube to the drain tray under the freezer/refrigerator where it's evaporated by the condenser fan.

Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing. . The drain should be located below the evaporator coils on the lower back of the freezer.

Frigidaire water dispenser drips constantly. I have been told there is a main water valve and a second valve for the water dispenser. Where is it and how to replace?

if you are referring to the cold water on the door , then there is a solenoid valve on the bottom back left side of fridge, you will see two there , one is for ice maker and one is for water on door , most times it's a good idea to replace both of them , also there should be a filter inside fridge on bottom middle (cartridge) this should be changed monthly to maintain fresh taste and keep foreign objects out of tubes

Model #ed22tqxvw00 problem: my water faucet in door was leaking when not being used so I turned off the water supply to the refridgerator but the faucet continues to leak drops of water. Where is the...

A couple things you need to check for your refrigerator water leak. First, if the water is actually leaking from the plastic tube for the water dispenser, and not from the flapping door that opens to allow ice to flow through door. If water is dripping from the flapping door, this could be ice melting, are you having any freezer temperature problems, is ice cream or bread soft ? If temperatures are fine, inspect the ice in the bucket, is it in clumps or one solid block of ice? If you have either this problem or the water is dripping from the plastic tube for the water dispenser, you likely have a problem with your water valve for either the ice maker or the water dispenser. Either way, both valves are part of one assembly, and both have to be replaced.
The other thing you need to check is that source water valve you shut off. Since there is no pump in a refrigerator, only those valves, the water that is leaking out of the fridge has to still be coming into the refrigerator. In other words, either that source valve is not shut off completely or it too is bad, or you shut the wrong source valve off, possibly for your house humidifier.

Water drips from the water dispenser

Hi, If the water is dripping from the dispenser tube, you need a water valve. The valve is not shutting off completely. Check to make sure water is not dripping from ice chute. If the chute door doesn't seal off you will get moisture there and it will also frost up the ice chute.

Take care

Water dispenser leaks on model number KSRS25FGSS13. I HAVE FLUSH THE AIR OUT AND IT STILL HAS A VERY SMALL DRIP

Probably replace the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in. Disconnect the water line to the dispenser there and see if it keeps dripping when you try the dispenser.

Water continually drips from the freezer door water dispenser. it will stop if I shut off the water supply.Refrigerator is a 12 yr. old GE side by side

The lever you push for water does nothing mechanically to open any water valve. All it does is activate a solenoid coil on the water valve. The water valve itself is dripping like a faucet and needs to be replaced. To replace the valve shut off the water supply and disconnect the water line from the valve. Install the new one. Nothing to it.

No ice instead water dripping down into freezer making icicles

If you have icicles, where are they forming at? If on the front of the ice bucket, then look at the dispenser shoot door is closing all the way. The way to check that is to look into the shoot while holding a flash light (or bright light) up into the dispenser from the front side of door. You should see no light.

Now if you have ice buildup around the inside of bucket, mainly from the ice maker to the bucket then you either have an ice maker that is leaking water or you have a water valve that is not shutting off all the way. Suspect water valve if you have ice buildup within water inlet tube on top of ice maker. Frozen water within tube is good indication that water valve is leaking.

Look inside refrig side of refrig, usually located on right top side of wall, you will find a tag with model number and serial number. Need both to get you the right part number for ice maker or water valve.

Ed25rfxfw01 whirlpool fridge water dispenser ...I have a slow drip from the dispenser hose. I assume I need a new water inlet valve. How do I access the inlet valve for replacing?

It should be on the right hand side in the back take off the compressor cover on the back should be 8 or so 1/4 screws nutdriver type and then two more hold on the water valve. If you have a RO system hooked up to refrig you may need to change the filters on the ro or just change the filter on the refrig. those two will also cause the water to drip thru the valve allowing it to drip on the front
