How do I automatic redial the last number on my phone?

On most cell phones, to redial the last phone number dialed, press the green phone icon when the keypad is displayed on the screen. You can only redial the last number dialed. The right button on the right top that brings back the last dialled number may be the culprit. Check to see if a long press on this button redials the last number. If so, then the clip is pressing it too long. Can you avoid using the clip or modify the clip so as not to press this button.

sounds like the programming for that button was changed to last number redial. To re- program the button, press feature *3, press the button labeled transfer, and press feature 70 (transfer).

It's been a long time since I have used Panasonic analog phones, but the redial function in them used to be mechanical. It dialed 15 times with a 45 second pause between attempts. The key was, it expected you to pick up the handset, cancelling the redial if you got an answer.
If you got an answer and didn't do anything, it hung up and redialed again until you picked up the handset!

Could that be what your system is doing?

The person who owns the number might (coincidentally) have turned redialling/redirecting on while playing/experimentating with some settings on the phone..

Go to setting>Phone>Call>Automatic redial set it to off. Hope this will solve your problem

Press "Redial" then *(star). The redial key is a multifunction key. You can either use redial or utilize the phone system speed dial directory.
