How can I get rid of the red and blue outline on my tv?

You have one of two problems. Sometimes both.

Problem #1) CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

Picture of a set that needs the fluid changed.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com that includes replacement coolant, photos. instructions, etc.

Problem #2)

Your TV may have a convergence failure. ( common problem )

Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem

  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
Here are some photos of convergence problems.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. Its a fairly easy DIY job or you can call in a pro. If you want to do the repair yourself check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.

Blue outline around images on tv

Sounds like a convergence problem. I can tell you that the site that Jean posted will not fix this problem and could even make things worse. That site pertains to a specific problem that is common in some Sony sets and should not be used to try to fix any other issue.

Please keep in mind many things can go wrong with TV sets and you should really do a lot of research before attempting any adjustment and or repair. There are high voltages present and they can reside even when the set is unplugged.

How to save photoshop image in web

dreamweaver can't display PSD (Photoshop) files so you will need to export the file for web. To do this from Photoshop, press CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+S to save the file for web. Choose your settings (all of the displayed settings will let you view the file in dreamweaver) and then save your new file.

Let me know if you need more info on this.

Double image in bright blue with philips model 55pw9363/17f

You may have 1 of two problems.

1) Convergence Chips are failing - Using your original remote goto the "convergence" screen.

Try to adjust the red - UP - DOWN - LEFT - RIGHT

Next try to adjust the blue - UP - DOWN - LEFT - RIGHT

If you can move both colors in all directions you do not have a convergence issue.

If you can't move one or more colors in one or more directions the convergence chips are defective and need to be replaced.

If your convergence chips test out ok the most likely problem is......

2) CRT Coolant is cloudy  - The bright outline you described is one common symptom. Other symptoms include dull images, red or orange tint, halo around images.

If you goto the site www.TvRepairKits.com - and click on "Tips" - you will find more detailed instructions on how to check the convergence.

Dreamweaver Problems

Hi smedsribaka
From the look of it I don't think it is the images causing the problem. Just remember to save the images for web when you have finished in photoshop.

There could be a number of reasons why the images a miss aligning. Looking at your code you are using tables. When you place an image in a cell you need to make sure of the values of the cell and holding table as well as there is now CSS clashes.

You need to be careful of the relationship of the cells within the table. You cannot leave any cell empty. You need to put in a spacer to the dimension you want that cell t be. You need to calculate the height and width of the table and make sure the content (images) match that.

From what I can see the main issue is you have used one image for both boxes corners (each side) You should have all the corners of each box separate. Also try splitting the two elements into separate tables.

If you have the time you should try and get to grips with building the page in CSS and do away with the tables. Adobe have some great tutorials on their site.

Hope it helps

Paul

How to make up a design using the dreamweaver?

Macromedia Dreamweaver for the first time, or on a new site for the first time, you need to define the Web site so that Dreamweaver can work with it. This process includes naming the site, placing the local files on a directory on your hard drive, and showing Dreamweaver where those files will be published on the Web. Follow these easy instructions to define a new Web site for Dreamweaver .

First, you should go to the "Site" menu and choose "Manage Sites".
As you can see from the image below, this will open a dialog window. Choose "New Site" from the "New" button.

Open Dreamweaver and Start the Site Definition Wizard
Name Your Site

Using Server Technologies on Your Dreamweaver Site
Where Should You Edit Your Dreamweaver Site Files
Defining Access to Your Dreamweaver Site
Always Test Your Connection
Site Check-out and Check-in with Dreamweaver
Review Your Site Definition
Your Site Now Appears in the Manage Sites Window
