We have just had a new oven fitted and the oven is working fine and the hobs are working when they are lit with a match, however we have an ignition button, but when we hold it it doesnt spark.
The hob was installed by a qualified gas person and we did the electric part ourself.
Please help
Some have a AAA battery under the button - replace this, others use mains to create the spark, ensure you have the ignition wired up

have you bumped the central little plate on top of hob, sometimes after cleaning if the central portion is not on correctly it block flow of gas
