Seems its pretty new still, and covered by the warranty, do you have the receipt? get it replaced at the shop you bought it. Generally atleast 1 year warranty in new products, unless did you buy this used from ebay for example?
1) Go online to find type of item for Amazon; when found, list any info you have: year purchased, receipt no. support dept.. Eventually, you will locate the product wherein "Support" should be able to assist. Provide photo if possible.
2) If have no PC, call Amazon directly & provide info as described above - "Support Dept."instructions as before. They should be able to narrow it down.
I, myself, followed these instructions for my Router, 2 years ago, and finally resolved the issue - even though my Router was already obsolete, but they were able to track down the info. Takes a little persistence.

this helped me as after it rebuilds the libary then it always froze on a song let the battery run out! this worked for me straight away and i had tried loads of other ideas this actually came from the tech guys !!!
Detach the player from the PC if it is connected, and turn off the player.
Press and hold the Play button while powering on the player.
When the player displays the Creative logo, release the Play button
Select Format (All) and select Yes to format the player.
After the player has finished formatting, select Reboot.
