Canon DR-9080c scanner power supply

I have a Canon DR-9080c scanner who's power supply went out. We got another one in, swapped supplies, now when I power it on, the exit rollers spin a couple of times, that's it. No lights light. Noticed on the supply, it has two connectors the same pin size. CN1 and CN3. Can someone look on their power supply or service manual and tell me which connector this needs to be plugged into? Thanks. Power but no start

SOURCE: Canon DR-9080c scanner power supply

There should be cables connected to CN1 and CN6. CN3 is not shown on the circuit diagram in the service manual.

Failure in initialization of Scanner. Scanner is offline or , scanner is turned off.
First check if the scanner is working in 'offline' mode by 'counting' a few pages.
Connect to the comp, if SCSI is the interface, you need to start the scanner first, if USB you can connect the scanner even after comp powering on. If the scanner is not recognised, reinstall driver software and scanning software.

CapturePerfect ver 3 is on chargeable basis! You can download ver 2.0 from http://software.canon-europe.com/software/0022439.asp?model= Though this is listed under Canon DR 5020, it works fine with DR 9080C. DR 9080C has very intelligent features and ver 2 works fine. I do not know if there are addl features with ver 3.0. I have used for scanning over 500,000 docs.

Canon DR-9080c Ghosting Problem
Though I've never seen this on any scanner, I can imagine it being a reading glass out of place. This could cause a weaker reflected image overlaying the direct one. Look at the top & bottom glass strips in the transport area. They should look level & unbroken.

Michael, U can buy 9080C service manual at tradebit.com 9080C has no belt for lifting the tray. It has arm and a few gears. Ensure that the plastic gears are not deformed. Good Luck. Which version of Capture perfect do you use?

Captureperfect 3 is not available on the Net. Only version 2.311 is available. (It may also be called upgrade) Download this and this can meet yr basic requiremnts. http://software.canon-europe.com/products/0010035.asp

The upgrades wont work without ver 3.0!

Need CapturePerfect 3 driver for Canon Scanner DR 9080C
I have the same model Canon DR-9080C scanner which I recently acquired and I'm trying to figure out how used it is. I see many referrign to a counter. I see the big LCD on top front, but how do you know how many total pages have been scanned through it? I read somewhere there is a mechanical scanner. Is this true?

Power supply gone bad
Canon 9080C is a very good scanner, so dont dump it.

Yes all power supply units have a fuse. Check if it is okay. You can source scanner power supply board from the market, if you can handle it or it is easy to call Canon support and get it fixed.
