Red Lines I've never had any problems with my TV and last night I turned the TV on and there were red lines running through the picture. The redlines would duplicate what was being projected on the screen but the red lettering was kind of skewed.

Somehow when switching between the tv and the dvd my wife encountered the pink and green, thin, parallel, vertical lines on the screen. The picture was visible with the lines. I turned the tv off and on but the problem persisted. Unplugged tv for about two minutes and after plugging it back in and turning it on the vertical lines very gone and the picture was back to normal.

Not really a solution, sorry, but I've got the very same problem. I haven't noticed the time before tv faults, but nontheless, it greenscreens or like in your case, redscreens as well. I've been told to open the back, which I did to check the status of the capicitors, which I've done. But, the capacitors "seem" fine. No bulging or popped tops. So, I'm at a stand still...not sure what to do at this point. If someone gives you solution, I sure would appreciate your forwarding it on to me. Thanks. Robert

No,this problems is not the projection lamp problems.The tv now have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv colors lines R,G,B mis alignment,have colors shadows pictures or look like 3D pictures.The tv convergence board,the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like 300-350 for parts and labors.

had tv that did the same thing after three years but they were green cost me 300 bucks to get it fixed and the guy said every 3 to 5 expect it

The red picture tube is bad, you must replace before it cause damage to the boards.

I did not fix the problem, but you have the model number wrong, it is KP-46WT510
