The monitor settings keep popping up on the screen and it looks like it is scrolling through the setting options. Sometimes the on/off button works, sometimes not. The other buttons have little or no effect. It just started to happen. I haven't changed anything on the computer; no downloads, updates, etc. I would really prefer not to go and buy another monitor if there is a simple solution. Thanks!

Turned on, everything else works fine except the "brightness" window appears to be glued to the screen behind it all works well, Initially thought it was a stuck button have tried everything I know to clear it. The window cannot be moved and the exit and save function do now work. occasionally the progress indicator runs form 0 to 100

I have fixed this problem (I think). I noticed That if you hold the menu button down and swith the monitor off and on the box goes, as soon as you let the button go it appears again. So I have jambed the button in with a slither of plastic cut off an old credit card turned it off and on and it appears to be OK. If it holds up I will super glue the button down. Better than someone elses suggestion which was 'Buy a new monitor' very helpful!

Wont post led 3 flashes

if its the red flashing light on the tower, its the hard drive activity light.

when the monitor goes on stand by, does the tower retain power? (green light on and flashing red light sometimes?) Does your keyboard's scroll lock/num lock/caps lock keys and keyboard lights work?

KDS Moniter

Have you checked your video card or adapter?
Check the settings on the monitor itself.
If you didn't find the problem go into system properties (windows logo + pause)/hardware/device manager. Expand monitor/right click and see if your new monitor is listed. Is there a yellow or red symbol next to it? This would mean a problem, then right click symbol/properties and error will be shown.
Could be a memory issue.
Don't forget to try a "working monitor". This will narrow it down a bit.

Get Moniter Speakers Working

Hello First of all you need a sound card on your computer with a Spk. (Speaker) or Phones (headphones) Out Jack it might be a symbol of a small speaker or headphones. You have to be sure you are getting a actual sound output signal from this sound card too. If the sound card is not working your moniter speakers would not have a signal to drive it. You also need a 1/8" Stereo 2 male stereo plugs on both ends, one end plugs in back of moniter other plugs in back of computer like I mentiond above. Make sure your Mute button is not selected on your computers volume button usally at bottom right of screen. Make sure the volume buttons are up to aprox 3/4 up also. Then for last on the moniter look in the menu i think you might have to keep pressing the menu button but i kind of forget now but its a Spk setting and volume setting in this speaker setup within the moniter as well make sure this is turned on and set at a higher volume level as well. Thats about all I can say without taking the moniter apart and checking the jack and wires and speakers. I would suggest you take it to a electronics or a tv repair or computer repair person to go any further then this. Hope you take time to read all of this I tried to put every step in here to help anyone out with this problem. Thanks for reading. Ken T
