I just got a 2 gb. micro sd card so i could put more music on my sandisk sansa e260 but when i go into windows media player it still says i have no memory what should i do?
When I load my micro sd card (6GB), I don't have access to those songs on my player (e260) or on media player. For a while the mass storage device was showing up on my computer, but now it doesn't even show up.When I load my micro sd card (6GB), I don't have access to those songs on my player (e260) or on media player. For the Sansa e260 4 GB there are 2 versions for the e200 series players: version 1 manual version 2 manual
Check the version of your Sansa e200 series:
go to Settings > Info.
SD card compatibility: For 01.xx.xx firmware (e200 version 1) - up to 2GB microSD cards For 03.xx.xx firmware (e200 version 2) - up to 16GB microSDHC cards NOTE: Firmware is not interchangeable.
I will have to double-check the documentation that came with that specific MP3 player, but I know that some Sansas will only support upto 2 GB in the expansion slot.
First, make sure it's a microSD card; the e260 won't work with microSDHC cards. Then use a card reader to copy music tracks to a "MUSIC" folder on the card. Install the card into the e260 and you will see the additional music.
you can use 4GB it is the applicable memory on your mp3.
if you will try to use much higher than 4gb sometimes it is the reason why our player are hanging up.
The Sansa, in common with many devices which have been around for a while, will only recognize standard micro SD up to 2 GB, not the SDHC (High Capacity) variety.
I read somewhere that a 4 GB Micro SD card is the largest you can put in the SanDisk Sansa E260 expansion slot. It's maximum capacity is 8 GB, with internal + external memory put together. This is from what I've read. Hope this helps.
The e260 works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card and won't work in the Sansa. With a microSD card, simply put music tracks into a folder called "MUSIC". When the card is installed, the Sansa will see the additional tracks.
According to what I've read, you can double the original memory, but no more than that, so the max you can have on a Sansa e250 would be 4 GB (2GB internal memory and 2GB external memory). I also read that the micro SD cards holds
music only-no video.
When I load my micro sd card (6GB), I don't have access to those songs on my player (e260) or on media player. For a while the mass storage device was showing up on my computer, but now it doesn't even show up.
