HOW TO DELETE AERO FROM MY WIN 7 HOME

Windows Aero Glass is Microsoft's 3-D high-end interface for Windows 7. In order to get this interface, you must be running a video card that supports running Aero Glass. Some video cards barely support running Aero Glass and performance suffers and the computer will lag. By simply disabling Aero Glass, you can take a crawling computer and bring new life into it. In any situation, if you want to increase performance, disable Aero Glass.

Right-click on the desktop and select Personalize. Select Windows 7 Basic theme and a "Please Wait" icon appears and changes your theme. Select Windows Classic theme if you are used to a Windows XP look and feel. A "Please Wait" icon appears and changes your theme. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7itproui/thread/ce96731f-8f7a-4d13-ba9b-7826cb595e3d

"Aero features are'nt running in window's 7"

Solution: Check that your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements for running Aero:

1-gigahertz (GHz) 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor

1 gigabyte (GB) of random access memory (RAM)

128-megabyte (MB) graphics card

Aero also requires a DirectX 9 class graphics processor that supports a Windows Display Driver Model Driver, Pixel Shader 2.0 in hardware, and 32 bits per pixel.

For best results, you might also want to follow these graphics processor recommendations:

64 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution that is less than 1,310,720 pixels (for example, a 17–inch flat panel LCD monitor that has a 1280 × 1024 resolution)

128 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution from 1,310,720 to 2,304,000 pixels (for example, a 21.1–inch flat panel LCD monitor that has up to a 1600 × 1200 resolution)

256 MB of graphics memory to support a single monitor with a resolution greater than 2,304,000 pixels (for example, a 30–inch wide-screen flat panel LCD monitor that has up to a 2560 × 1600 resolution)

To turn on window frame transparency, the color scheme must first be set to Windows Aero.

1.Open Personalization by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Personalization.

2.Click Window Color and Appearance.

3.Select the Enable transparency check box.

To change the color scheme to Windows Aero

1.Open Appearance Settings by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Window Color and Appearance. If the Appearance Settings dialog box is not displayed, at the bottom of the page, click Open classic appearance properties.

2.In the Color scheme list, click Windows Aero, and then click OK.

Check that your theme is an aero theme and not a normal theme. Themes are available in normal and aero and can be confusing. Set your theme as an aero theme and you should get the aero window working.

These steps will help us to have AERO running.

How can i used aero in windows 7 ultimate

Basically if your laptop''s Video Card or GPU has already the minimum requirements to run windows aero it will be automatically be turned on upon installation of Windows 7.
However in some cases windows aero will not be enabled if your driver did not match your Video Card so remember to install the right driver for your Video Card.
A quick way to know that your laptop actually can run windows aero is by running the Windows Experience Index. Right click on computer then click properties. The score (both base score and subscore for graphics component) should be equal or higher than 3.0 for Aero to work.

Not supported aero in windows

The name 'AERO' is the name for the "fancy" software in Windows, e.g., semi-transparent Windows.

If you have the "Starter" or "Basic" version of Windows, AERO is not available.

If you have a "low-end" video-card, AERO is disabled, because the video-card lacks the necessary capability to support AERO.

Areo will not start on a clean installation of Windows 7

I just resolved this issue on a new system. The user had been running the system about 5 days and the Aero would always drop out to Windows Basic mode as soon as the system booted to the desktop.

The cause turned out to be the Windows Experience Index had not been run.

Windows 7 requires a minimum Windows Experience Index before the Aero Experience to function.

If Aero will still not run after the Windows Experience Index has been run, tun the Aero troubleshooter and reboot after the troubleshooter finishes to resolve the problem.

How to get Aero on a Computer without Vista, or on an unsupported video card.

We all like Vista's Aero, even after 7 came out. But for most of us, we just don't want to stop using XP. Or we upgraded, and our computer doesn't support it. So, i am here to recommend a few programs that will give you an Aero Effect.
The first - Window FX - This will give you all the Aero Fade in and Out, and other effects that come with vista. Some versions support Transparency The download is here: http://www.stardock.com/products/windowfx/
The second - TrueTransparency - http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/en.id.5139-truetransparency-lefreut-explorer-tools.htm This will give you Aero effects, and allows you to have different skins for it.
Others: Visual Tooltip which gives you a Tooltip when you put your mouse on the task bar, which comes with Window FX. http://www.chrisnsoft.com/visual-tooltip/
AeroShake - AeroShake is a Windows 7 Emulator. It allows you to shake a window, to hide all the others. This comes with TrueTransparency, so if you plan on using TrueTransparency, you don't need to install it. http://aero-shake.en.softonic.com/
AeroSnap - AeroSnap is also a Windows 7 Emulator. It allows you to drag a window to the top, or sides of the screen, and it will either maximize, or pull to either side of the window. http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/11/29/aerosnap-free-download-to-enable-windows-7-aero-snap-features-in-xp-and-vista/
All together, these should satisfy, for now, our cravings for Aero, at least until our next computer...

Please i want to enable aero in windows 7 my direct x is 11 and 64mb graphics

Hi waquashashmi,

A way to know if your Windows 7 system supports Aero or not is to look at Windows Experience Index score. The score (both base score and subscore for graphics component) should be equal or higher than 3.0 for Aero to work. To view your Windows Experience Index, go to Control Panel -> System and Security -> System, then click on "Windows Experience Index".

To display Aero effects such as transparency in Windows 7, follow these steps:
  1. Make sure that Windows Experience Index has been calculated and computed.
  2. Click on Start menu.
  3. Type the following text into the Start Search box: Aero
  4. Click on a search result listing under Control Panel group that named as the following: Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects
    arun_zac_16.jpg
Trick: If you don't see "Find and fix problems with transparency and other visual effects" in the search results, click on Control Panel to see all Aero related items in Control Panel.
  5. An "Aero - Troubleshoot computer problems" wizard dialog will appear. Click on Next button. arun_zac_17.jpg
  6. The troubleshooting wizard will try to detect any problem by running a series of checks against various components required to make Aero works and running, such as video memory, Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) service, color depth, theme, power settings and etc. At the end of the analysis, the wizard will attempt to fix the issues related to Aero service and restart the Aero feature. arun_zac_18.jpg

Thank you for using Fixya,

Windows Aero feature has specific hardware requirements, software configuration requirements, and resource requirements that must be met for it to function correctly on a Windows Vista-based computer. If these requirements are not met, or if computer resources become insufficient during use, the Windows Aero feature may not function correctly. Additionally, the Windows Aero feature may shut down during the current session
check the following link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/945000 to see if your computer meets the requirement if yes follow the steps in the document to enable the aero feature:
