Connecting a Pioneer DEH-P4800MP stereo to Peugeot 206

Bought my Peugeot 206 with this stereo fitted, but the steering wheel 'stalk' control is apparently not connected. Are they compatible and, if so, how can I connect them?

There is a nice pricey part you can buy for that if you mean what I think which is having radio control on your steering wheel if so then look up your car and steering wheel controls adapter

Yes, you can use the AUX input in the back or buy the IPOD Adapter for it

Its not the select button, you must have the power off and hold the function button down for about 5 seconds, display will change and you will be able to navigate your way to the clock from there. Hope this helps.

Pioneer DEH-X6800BT car stereo will change to next preset (from FM1 to FM2, etc) and volume reduces to 0 about 20 seconds after startup.

The fault is with the steering wheel control unit.

If you do not have tech experience then you need to take it to a repair shop one that will give you a free estimate you more than likely need some soldering done.

Trying to figure out the wiring for and 85 chevy truck i have a pioneer deh p4800mp

the red on the player is acceley (hot when ignition is on) and the yellow is constent hot (hot all the time) and the black is ground but u can go to a radio shot or walmart and get a plug that wires to your stereo color to color and then plugs into the factory wiring harness

I don't think it's that easy to find unless the stereo clearly specifies it..I have the same problem too and have given up..

Connecting Pioneer DEH-2000MP to an amplifier

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

You would need a special adapter that connects to the speaker wires of the Pioneer DEH-2000MP and converts them to line level RCA ports. Something like the image below and available from here or most car stereo stores.

My Peugeot 406 radio is losing signal intermittently.

Mine did the same .. Peugeot garage quoted £300+ & 6 weeks to replace it (ha ha)

I pulled it out, got a 'facial panel' from Halfords (about £20) and a cheap radio from Agros ...

Only problem is the 'stalk controls' (on the steering wheel) no longer work == Halfords make radios that are 'compatible' with 'industry standard' stalk controls but you will have to get them to fit it since the connectors aren't too standard and you will want Halfords to sort it out ...

Yes it does, I have proof.

Open a new window/tab browser. Click this link to the PIONEER WEBSITE PDF File for this cable. Please refer to page 7of 84, and look in the category "head unit group 1"... From the BOTTOM LEFT of this paragraph count up FIVE LINES, your Head Unit Model number is right there.
