3300mp turns off after warming up

my advise is to get a new one or try ebay - i got my dell 3300mp NEW in box for under $400 - and have looked at other projectors there are very good deals on ebay but make sure you read the entire listing

I had the same problem exactly. But when I removed the bulb and put it in a working projector it was fine. So now where do I go.

The main fan that cools the lamp is mostly high speed when the unit is running. when it shuts down it slows the fan down, until it stops in standby. So the noise is only really loud when it is showing a picture.

try setting the fan to eco mode (slower running) and see if the noise is acceptable. If it is still too loud then you will have to replace it. Have a look at the fan and see if any of the plastic blades are missing.
